  1. Alien Worlds | $2m | Animoca Brands, Longling Capital, 3Commas and others | private round

Gaming decentralized application Alien Worlds had successfully raised $2m in a sale of its utility token, Trilium (TLM), to selected private investors. Alien Worlds is currently the number-two-ranked gaming DApp by number of users, according to DappRadar. Investors in the recent token sale included Animoca Brands, developer of The Sandbox and F1 DeltaTime; Longling Capital, which created China’s Meitu app; 3Commas; and Digital Assets Group. 

2. Connext | $2.2m | Polychain Capital, 1kx and Huobi Capital | seed

Ethereum-based interoperability project Connext has raised $2.2m in seed funding. The round was led by Polychain Capital, with participation from 1kx and Huobi Capital. With fresh capital at hand, Connext looks to seed the early network liquidity and expand its team to launch the full network. 

3. Greenidge Generation Holdings | $33m | Support.com | merger deal

Greenidge Generation Holdings, the parent company of upstate New York-based bitcoin mining firm Greenidge, expects to go public in the U.S. through a merger deal with Support.com (listed on Nasdaq). As part of the merger plan, Support.com is set to provide Greenidge with an estimated $33m in cash.

4. PEAKDEFI | new fund 

A new decentralized fund PEAKDEFI has opened, integration with Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Audited by Quantstamp.

5. Brazil | new money

Brazil, following Canada, launches bitcoin ETF. The instrument is approved by the local regulator and will be traded on the exchange under the ticker QBTC11. It is launched by QR Capital.

6. Protofire | undiscloused sum | Chainlink | grant

Protofire, a development workshop for decentralized protocols, has been awarded a Chainlink Community Grant for their work in creating a new testnet token faucet that is now live across a number of blockchains, including on the Polygon, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and xDai testnets. In addition to the Chainlink’s token faucets on the Ethereum Rinkeby and Kovan testnets, this new testnet faucet allows developers to acquire mock Chainlink tokens (LINK) from an intuitive user interface to test their Chainlinked smart contracts across a number of blockchain testnets before deploying onto the mainnet network of their choice.

7. Bithumb | talks

Rumors about investors again circulated around the Bithumb crypto exchange. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Visa, Binance, Deutsche Bank and Naver are among new candidates. Perhaps we will soon find out the details of the upcoming deal.

8. CherrySwap | $3m | strategy investors | strategy round

CherrySwap will soon be launched on OKExChain as the first batch of automated work protocols for OKEx’s public chain EVM. Prior to this, CherrySwap completed a strategic investment round, raising $3m which will be used to further strengthen the community operations and other major sections of the project.

9. EOS Asia and EOS Nation | $631k | EOS VC | grant

EOS VC, the fundraising department of the Block.one development company behind EOS.IO’s open-source software, has announced the details of its recent funding initiative. A total of $631k will be awarded to leading EOS block producers EOS Asia and EOS Nation to support the development of an entirely new community-driven development platform.

10. WorkQuest | undiscloused sum | Prometeus Labs | seed

WorkQuest, global end-to-end jobs marketplace powered on smart-contracts, receives seed invesment from Prometeus Labs.

11. Fireblocks | $133m | Coatue, Ribbit, and Stripes | series C round

Fireblocks, which provides digital asset custody, transfer, and settlement infrastructure for clients such as banks and exchanges, closed a $133m Series C round led by investment firms Coatue, Ribbit, and Stripes.The round also came with strategic investments from major clients SVB Capital and BNY Mellon — one of the largest investment banks in the world with $2 trillion assets under management — as well as financing from crypto investing mainstays such as Fred Ehrsam’s Paradigm and Mike Novogratz’s Galaxy Digital.

12. Volmex Finance | undiscloused sum | Alameda Research, Three Arrows Capital, Robot Ventures and others | private round

Derivatives protocol Volmex Finance raised funds from Alameda Research, Three Arrows Capital, Robot Ventures, CMS Holdings, IOSG Ventures, D64 Ventures, Fourth Revolution Capital and private investors. In order to avoid the expensive fees associated with transacting on the main Ethereum network, the protocol will leverage Optimism layer-two scaling technology to make index querying and future trading functionality cheaper and faster.

13. Stellar Community Seed Fund | grant

The finalists for the first ever Stellar Community Seed Fund are announced:

COINQVEST — Enterprise Payment Processing. COINQVEST helps online merchants and e-commerce shops programmatically accept and settle payments in digital currencies while staying compliant.

Leaf Global Fintech — Banking Beyond the Branch. Leaf is a digital wallet that enables users to store, send and receive, and exchange in multiple stablecoins on their phones — no smartphone required.

Litemint — Gaming Platform and NFT Marketplace. LITEMINT is a gaming platform connecting gamers to the crypto world.

Task.io — Scaling Social Missions with Stellar. Task connects organisations with remote teams, tracks activity on the Stellar blockchain, processes payments between users, and allows the exchange of tokens for locally relevant rewards.

Anclap — Anchor and Debit Card for Everyday Transactions. Anclap allows users to save up on digital currencies and to pay recurring daily expenses in a convenient way.

OptionBlox & YieldBlox — DeFi Protocols for Financial Derivatives and Lending. OptionBlox and YieldBlox provide platforms and DeFi protocols for facilitating financial derivatives and lending.

Mojoflower — Government Issue Share-ledgers and Share-management Tools for SMEs. Mojoflower offers government issue share-ledgers and share-management tools for SMEs powered by Stellar.

Blocknify— Blocknify allows users to easily add a legally binding e-signature to any Stellar transaction with privacy and trust built-in.

14. Starks Network | $200k | Cryptocurrency fund KR1, IOSG Ventures and Hypersphere Ventures | private round

Cryptocurrency fund KR1 announced that it has invested $200k in Starks Network, Zero Knowledge Proof as a service in Polkadot. IOSG Ventures and Hypersphere Ventures also acted as investors in the round. Starks Network rebranded to zCloak Network. The project received a grant from the WEB3 Foundation.

15. Farmer Connect | $9m | ITOCHU | series A round

One of the leading general trading companies in Japan ITOCHU has led the recent investment round for Agritech company Farmer Connect. The Agritech company provides farmers with access to their ecosystem through an application called Farmer ID.The recent announcement by Farmer Connect outlined the $9m Series A funding round which will be used to help create sustainable, traceable, food supply chains.

16. Meitu | cryptonews

Meitu, a Chinese photo retouching app listed in Hong Kong, first bought cryptocurrency earlier this month, when it disclosed it had acquired $40m in BTC and ETH as part of a so-called “Cryptocurrency Investment Plan.” The plan includes the purchase of $100m worth of crypto.

17. GamyFi | $1m | Spark Digital Capital, AU21 capital, LD capital and others| private round | seed

GamyFi, the first fantasy sports platform in blockchain, has closed its seed and private investment round, raising $1m. Spark Digital Capital led the investment rounds. The seed and private funding round led by Spark Digital Capital also gained support from AU21 capital, LD capital, Momentum 6, Angel One, Infinity Labs, Chain Ventures, Bitmart Exchange, 499 Block, UNITY capital, BK capital, OASIS capital, YBB Foundation, Ternary capital, Searchlight capital Incuba Alpha to name a few.

18. MintGreen | undiscloused sum | CoinShares | seed

Bitcoin mine heat-recycling firm MintGreen closes seed round led by CoinShares.

19. Crank Studio | undiscloused sum | Kava Labs | acquisitions

Kava Labs has secured the strategic acquisition of Crank Studio, a premier Canada-based user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design firm.

20. DXventures | $1m | DXdao | new fund

DXdao has earmarked $1m of the treasury to be used for DXventures. DXdao will seek out opportunities to invest up to $100k each in projects seeking seed or growth capital.

21. Cook Protocol | undiscloused sum | Block Dream Fund | strategy round

Cook Protocol is a transparent decentralized asset management platform highly focused on innovation in the DeFi segment. Cook Protocol has successfully closed its funding rounds. Within its framework, it raised money from the Block Dream Fund.

22. eToro | FinTech Acquisition Corp. V | acquisitions

eToro will become publicly traded through a business combination with FinTech Acquisition Corp. V ($FTCV). The combined company will be named eToro Group Ltd and will be listed on the Nasdaq. Her estimate will be approximately $10.4B.

23. TotemFi | $255k | DuckDAO, Nabais Capital, LD Capital and others | strategy round

TotemFi’s raised $255k to launch staking-based prediction markets platform. Backers include DuckDAO, Nabais Capital, LD Capital, Alphabit Fund, Altvest, Moonwhale Ventures, and Bluenode Capital.

24. Gather | undiscloused sum | Ela Capital | strategy round

Gather has developed a powerful new technology that allows web and mobile developers to earn money by contributing processing power , unlike any other digital monetization tool available today. Ela Capital takes a position in Gather with a six figure convertible note along with tokens ahead of scheduled and planned Series A funding round.

25. Force Dao | new fund

Force Dao, a quantitative hedge fund for DeFi, is kicking off their public beta launch.

26. Velo Labs | Interstellar | acquisitions

Velo Labs, a cross-border settlement protocol backed by Thai conglomerate CP Group, has merged with Interstellar, a payment startup that runs on the Stellar network.

27.River Financial | $12m | Goldcrest Capital, M13, Castle Island and others | series A round

Bitcoin financial services provider River Financial has recently gotten its fingers on roughly $12m in equity through a Series A funding round. The event was hosted by Goldcrest Capital and saw the participation of several additional money giants including M13, Castle Island, the Kraft Group, Slow Ventures and Craft Ventures.

28. Ripple | talks

Digital payments giant Ripple appears to be preparing to expand its network, acquiring an unnamed firm with proficiency in developing exchange platforms.

29. Harmonychain | undiscloused sum | Ole Andreas Halvorsen | private round

Norwegian billionaire and hedge fund manager, Ole Andreas Halvorsen,is investing funds into an energy-reducing cryptocurrency mining chip hardware company Harmonychain. The company Norway’s fourth richest man is investing in claims to build application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining chips that are allegedly 300%-500% more energy efficient than existing hardware.

30. Autofarm |  acquisition

Autofarm has recently acquired farmfol.io, an intelligent portfolio manager designed to simplify how users monitor and track their assets on Binance Smart Chain.

31. Stacker Ventures | $5m | new fund

Another community fund Stacker Ventures has opened, about $5m is ready to go to cryptocurrency projects at an early stages.

32. RushOrderTees | $1m | cryptonews

Custom apparel maker RushOrderTees has announced its intention to convert $1m of its cash reserves into Bitcoin, as well as Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, over the next two months.

33. DCTDAO | $405k | tokensale

DCTDAO, a cross-chain DeFi trading platform focused on providing security and scalability to support high-frequency DEX trading, has announced that they will collaborate with TrustSwap on a FlashLaunch for their DCTD token offering on March 26th 2021. Hard cap on TrustSwap is $405k.

34. Unmarshal | $2.6m | Woodstock, Black Edge Capital, Genesis Block Ventures and others | private round

Unmarshal, a new project building a blockchain data indexing solution, announced a $2.6m seed funding round from a number of crypto industry investors. Venture funds that participated in Unmarshal’s round include Woodstock, Black Edge Capital, Genesis Block Ventures, NGC Ventures, AU21, Spark Ventures, BitMax and some others. The team will also conduct an IDO at Polkastarter.

35. Solana and Serum | 9 winners | hackathon

The DeFi hackathon of Solana and Serum has ended, 9 winners have been announced: Mango Markets (DEX with margin trading), PsyOptions (options), Parrot (synthetic debt protocol), Synthetify (synthetic assets), Solrise Finance (decentralized funds), Serum Tax Time (analytical tool for various calculations), DTF Protocol (auto-follow), Sushi Warrior (similar to PoolTogether), Tenderize Me (liquid staking).

36. Bounce Finance | undiscloused sum | Pantera, Coinbase Ventures, Hashed and others | private round

Bounce Finance announced that it has raised a new funding round. Investors include Pantera, Coinbase Ventures, Hashed, Fundamental Labs, DHVC, Blockchain Capital, and SNZ capital who have recently invested in Bounce. Raised funds will be used to build an NFT marketplace and ecommerce platform described by the founders as “Shopify for NFTs”.

37. Vega | $5m | Arrington Capital, Cumberland DRW, Coinbase Ventures and others | private round

Vega has raised $5m in latest funding rounds led by Arrington Capital and Cumberland DRW. Other participants include Coinbase Ventures, ParaFi Capital, Signum Capital, CMT Digital, CMS Holdings, Three Commas, GSR, SevenX Ventures, and ZeePrime Capital. The DeFi Alliance also joined as an investor alongside Aave CEO & Founder Stani Kulechov, Enzyme Finance Founder Mona El Isa, Co-Founder and CEO of Terraform Labs (TFL) Do Kwon, and CEO and Co-Founder of Kyber Network Loi Luu. Follow-on contributions were made from our seed investors Hashed, Eden Block, Greenfield One, KR1, gumi Cryptos Capital, and Monday Capital.

38. Maple Finance | $1.4m | Framework Ventures and Polychain Capital | private round

The Australian-based startup is set to debut its first undercollateralized lending market with stable rates in April. Maple Finance closed a $1.4m funding round led by Framework Ventures and Polychain Capital to help further develop and launch pool.

39. NFTMart | undiscloused sum | PAKA, LD CAPITAL, CMS and others | private round

NFTMart, the first Polkadot platform to build a fractional trading marketplace of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with its own public blockchain, announced an undisclosed number of funding by PAKA, LD CAPITAL, CMS, AU21 CAPITAL, DFG (Digital Finance Group), Crasolum.

40.OpenSea | $23 m | a16z crypto and others | series A round

a16z is leading OpenSea’s $23m Series A round alongside existing investors, Cultural Leadership Fund, and angels like Ron Conway, Mark Cuban, Tim Ferriss, Belinda Johnson, Naval Ravikant, Ben Silbermann, and many others.

41. Ramifi Protocol |$740k | GenBlock Capital, Pluto Digital Assets, Morningstar Ventures and others| private round

Ramifi Protocol is a synthetic asset that uses elastic supply technology to inversely index inflation and the US dollar’s purchasing power using a weighted basket of commodities. Ramifi has closed a $740k private sale round with funding from GenBlock Capital, Pluto Digital Assets, Morningstar Ventures, Magnus Capital, Moonrock Capital, DuckDAO, Momentum 6, Lotus Capital, BlackMambaVentures, and ChronosVC are among investors.

42. Syndicate | $1m | GIDEO CoLab Ventures, Electric Capital, Delphi Ventures and others | seed

Syndicate raised $1m in seed round led by IDEO CoLab Ventures with participation from Electric Capital, Delphi Ventures, CoinFund, Robot Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, DeFi Alliance, Nascent, and 18 founders and angels.

43. Republic | $36m | Galaxy Interactive, Tribe Capital, Motley Fool Ventures and others | series A round

Republic have completed the initial closing of $36m Series A financing from strategic investors. The round was led by Galaxy Interactive, with participation by Tribe Capital, Motley Fool Ventures, Broadhaven Ventures, Sahil Lavingia, and Hashed. Project also recently received a strategic investment from Prosus Ventures (formerly Naspers Ventures) who are backing the Republic Note project.

44. Morgan Stanley | new money

Morgan Stanley alerted its wealth management advisors that the Wall Street giant will begin offering access to at least one bitcoin-related fund to accredited wealth management clients. It’s the latest sign of bitcoin adoption on Wall Street and a big development for the cryptocurrency in the wealth management channel. Morgan Stanley’s wealth management unit boasts 16,000 advisors, managing some $4 triillion in client assets. According to a source at the bank, the firm could offer clients access to funds operated by NYDIG or Galaxy Digital.

45. Bitpanda | $170m | Valar Ventures James Fitzgerald, and Peter Thiel | series B round

Bitpanda, a digital investment platform, has closed a Series B funding round for $170m, pushing the company’s valuation to $1.2 billion. The round was led by Valar Ventures, a VC fund founded by Andrew McCormack, James Fitzgerald, and Peter Thiel, with participation from partners of DST Global.

46. Grayscale | new money

5 new cryptocurrencies have been added to Grayscale products: Basic Attention Token, Chainlink, Decentraland, Filecoin and Livepeer.

47.Anchor Protocol | $20m | Alameda Research, Arrington XRP, Accomplice and others | private round

Anchor Protocol, a DeFi fixed interest rate protocol, has raised $20m from Alameda Research, Arrington XRP, Accomplice, Hashed, Galaxy Digital, Pantera Capital, Naval, DeFi Alliance, Jump Trading, IDEO CoLab Ventures, Rockaway Blockchain Fund and Dragonfly Capital.

48. Alchemix | $4.9m | CMS, Alameda Research, Immutable Capital and others | private round

Decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol Alchemix said it completed a $4.9m funding round led by CMS, Alameda Research and Immutable Capital. Alchemix said it sold the investors the protocol’s native ALCX tokens at $700 per token. Proceeds were transferred to the protocol’s founders as compensation for their work. Alchemix noted that because this was the protocol’s first round of raising capital, all work prior to it had been done without compensation. In order of investment size, the investors were: CMS, Alameda Research, Immutable Capital, Nascent, Protoscale Capital, LedgerPrime, eGirl Capital, Fisher8 Capital, Orthogonal Capital and one individual, whose name was not provided.

49. Convergence | Mask Network | strategy round

Mask Network has invested and partnered with decentralized interchangeable asset protocol Convergence to broaden the open financial system. As part of the partnership, projects on Convergence could conduct Wrapped Security Token launchings through Initial Twitter Offering provided by Mask Network and tradeable in the Convergence AMM pool.

50. Rage.Fan | $1.6m | Genesis Block Ventures (GBV) Capital, X21 Digital, Chronos Ventures and others | private round

Rage.Fan, a fan-first fantasy & uNFT sports platform, closed a $1.6m private fundraising round from Genesis Block Ventures (GBV) Capital, X21 Digital, Chronos Ventures, Magnus Capital, Moonrock Capital, AU21 Capital, Spark Digital, Moonwhale Ventures, Momentum 6 and Vendetta Capital.

51. Twitter CEO | $2.9m | NFT

Twitter CEO converted his first Twitter post to NFT and sold it through CENT for $2.9m (1630 ETH).

COLLATERAL, a payment gateway in the Polkadot ecosystem, has raised investments from Blocksync Ventures, Ex Network, Magnus Capital, Momentum 6, Brilliance Ventures, Master Ventures, X21 Digital, A195, 4SV, AU21, GD10 Ventures and Lotus Capital.

53. BitClout | undiscloused sum | Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Digital Currency Group and others| private round

BitClout is a social crypto-exchange where users can buy and sell tokens based on people’s reputations. Early backers of the platform’s BitClout currency include a who’s who of Silicon Valley investors including Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, the startup’s founder tells TechCrunch. Other investors include Chamath Palihapitiya’s Social Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Winklevoss Capital and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. A report in Decrypt notes that a single wallet connected toBitClout has received more than $165m worth of Bitcoin deposits suggesting that huge sums have already poured into the network ahead of its public launch.

Beyond Finance, a decentralized platform for creating and trading synthetic financial products, has announced a $7.5m round of fundraising from leading blockchain funds, including Moonwhale Ventures, A195, DuckDAO, Cryptomeria Capital, Blocksync, X21 Digital, Rarestone Capital, Master Ventures, Consensus Capital, and more.

55. ColdStack | $600k | Genesis Block Ventures, Spark Digital Capital and others | private round

ColdStack is a Decentralized Cloud Storage Aggregator that provides a single entry point to Decentralized Clouds such as Filecoin, SIA, Arweave and Storj with unified API and billing. The project raised $600k from Genesis Block Ventures, Spark Digital Capital, Black Edge Capital, AU21, X21 Digital, Paribus Ventures, Solidity Ventures, Morningstar Ventures and others.

56. Nifty | undiscloused sum | Draper Dragon, Polychain, Tally Capital and others | pre-seed

Nifty’s has secured financial backing in a pre-seed round from high-profile technology and blockchain investors including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Joseph Lubin, founder and CEO of ConsenSys and co-founder of Ethereum, and secretive DeFi investor and NFT “whale” known solely as 0xb1. Institutional investors participating in the round are Draper Dragon, Polychain, Tally Capital, Liberty City Ventures, and Future Positive which is led by Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter and Medium, and Fred Blackford, co-founder of Swing Technologies. Nifty’s, Inc., based in Miami, is the first NFT-focused social media platform that brings together premium publishers, brands and creators with collectors, curators and the communities of fans that will emerge around them.

57. Genesis Shards | $2.7m | 3Commas, Block Dream Fund by OKEx, LD Capital and others | private round

Genesis Shards raises $2.7m to create new pre-IDO market using DeFi NFT options. Investors of the round are 3Commas, Block Dream Fund by OKEx, LD Capital, Spark Digital Capital, Momentum 6, Solidity Ventures, BlackEdge, Morningstar, BitBloc, Blocksync, Chain Capital, X21, Astronaut Capital, Moonrock Capital, Moonwhale Ventures, PNYX Ventures, AU21 Capital, Master Ventures, PetRock Capital and angels.

58. Dibbs | $2.8m | Courtside Ventures, Founder Collective, JDS Sports and others | private round

Dibbs, an app that allows users to trade fractional interests in sports cards in real time, will announce today that it has secured $2.8m in seed funding, led by Courtside Ventures. Other investors in the round include Founder Collective, JDS Sports and Sports Card Investor, as well as former NBA player Channing Frye, WHOOP founder Will Ahmed and Flatiron Health cofounder Nat Turner, a notable name in the sports card industry.

DeFi VC Fund GAINS have completed a Private Sale of $800k from closest members and strongest supporters who have been with them throughout these 3 years. Team have also closed a small Strategic Sale of $240k from a few funds and influencers.

60.StarkWare Industries | $75m | Paradigm | series B round

As Ethereum’s scaling efforts heat up, one Israeli-based startup hopes a new $75m funding round will position it as the infrastructure backbone across decentralized finance, non-fungible tokens, and security. StarkWare Industries, which provides scaling and security solutions to overcome the limitations of Ethereum’s existing technology, announced a Series B fundraise led by crypto VC firm Paradigm. Paradigm previously led StarkWare’s $30 million fundraise in 2018. Previous investors, including Sequoia, Founders Fund, and Pantera participated in the round alongside new investors like Three Arrows and Alameda Research.

61. Covalent | $2m | Hashed, Binance Labs, Coinbase Ventures and others | strategy round

Covalent, a unified API for blockchain data, has closed a $2m strategic funding round led by Hashed with participation from Binance Labs, Coinbase Ventures, Delphi Ventures, Hypersphere Ventures, and other ecosystem partners. The new funding will accelerate product timelines to launch a decentralized version of the market leading Covalent API.

62.XDEFI | $1.2m | Mechanism Capital Delphi Ventures, Morningstar Ventures and others| seed

XDEFI Wallet has secured $1.2m in seed investment. The round was led by Mechanism Capital with the participation of Delphi Ventures, Morningstar Ventures, Alameda Research, Erik Voorhees from ShapeShift, Sebastien Audet and Suhail Gangji from Zapper.fi and Marc Zeller from Aave.

63. Zora | undiscloused sum | Paradigm| private round

Zora, the company behind an Ethereum-based marketplace for tokenized product drops, has received an investment from Paradigm.

64. K21 | NFT collection

K21 is a closed-end art vault that provides liquid exposure to a curated collection of 21 unique and original NFT artworks by a diverse roster of influential and pioneering contemporary, digital, and cryptonative artists. The K21 ERC-20 token allows anyone to be a part of this decisive moment in art and technology.
