Securrency, a blockchain-based compliance tools provider for banks and financial institutions, has raised $30m in a Series B funding round.The round was backed by asset manager WisdomTree Investments, State Street, U.S. Bank, and Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners.
2. Vitalik Buterin and Balaji Srinivasan | $650k | donation
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and fellow cryptocurrency legend Balaji Srinivasan are pitching into a fund set up by Indian tech founder Sandeep Nailwal to help provide relief to COVID-19 ravaged India. Buterin donated more than $600k in crypto while Srinivasan donated $50k and pledged up to $100k more.
3. AKRU | undiscloused sum | Draper Goren Holm | private round
Draper Goren Holm, a venture studio focused on accelerating and incubating blockchain and crypto startups, has announced the firm’s newest portfolio company: AKRU. The Los Angeles-based venture firm led by Tim Draper, Alon Goren, and Josef Holm, has invested an undisclosed amount in the real estate investing platform with goals to make the democratization of commercial real estate a nearby reality.
4. BSCstarter | program
BSCstarter, a community-selection launchpad for Binance Smart Chain (BSC), has announced the launch of the “Certified START” program to provide end-to-end support for approved BSC projects seeking capital. The program aims to build an entire funding ecosystem where projects and founders are matched with token buyers that believe in the project’s long-term success. Projects accepted into the program will receive IDO guidance, marketing, and community support, access to private investors, and launch coordination with exchanges and market-makers.
5. My DeFi Pet | $1m | Animoca Brands, Axia 8, Bixin Ventures and others | private round
My DeFi Pet successfully raised $1m in the private round of investment to fund the development of a full mobile game that has NFT and DeFi features incorporated. The project is backed by Animoca Brands, Axia 8, Bixin Ventures, DFG, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, Consensus Labs, Spark Digital, M6, Kardia Ventures, and many others.
6. Internet Archive | about $7.5m | Filecoin | grant
The Filecoin Foundation has committed 50,000 FIL (about $7.5m) to the Internet Archive, one of the largest libraries in the world and a key defender of information and accessibility. This donation will advance the mission of both organizations to preserve humanity’s most valuable data and improve access to information online.
7. ChainSafe | undiscloused sum | Chainlink | grant
ChainSafe, a leading blockchain protocol and infrastructure development firm, has been awarded a Chainlink Community Grant for the expansion, improvement, and on-going support of the Chainlink Oracle Pallet created for Polkadot’s interoperable multi-chain ecosystem.
8. JPMorgan Chase | new fund
JPMorgan Chase is preparing to offer an actively managed bitcoin fund to certain clients, becoming the latest, largest and — if its CEO’s well-documented distaste for bitcoin is any indication — unlikeliest U.S. mega-bank to embrace crypto as an asset class. The JPMorgan bitcoin fund could roll out as soon as this summer, two sources familiar with the matter told CoinDesk. Institutional bitcoin shop NYDIG will serve as JPMorgan’s custody provider, a third source said.
9. Launch X | $600k | Moonrock Capital, Ascensive Assets, Morningstar Ventures and others | private round
Launch X, a decentralized multi-chain, governance-based IDO Launchpad, led by Marshland Capital, Magnus Capital and Valaren Ventures, has successfully completed a private funding round of $600k. The raise was supported by a star-studded cast of reputable VC’s, including Moonrock Capital, Ascensive Assets, Morningstar Ventures, Genblock Capital, Raptor Capital, Moonwhale Ventures, AU21 Capital, x21 Digital, DWeb3, and Vendetta Capital.
10. ZenGo | $20m | Insight Partners, Distributed Global, Austin Rief Ventures and others | series A round
Crypto wallet ZenGo have recently completed a $20m Series A funding round led by Insight Partners. Other investors include Distributed Global (in partnership with Temasek) and Austin Rief Ventures, who participated in this round with existing investors Benson Oak, Samsung Next, Elron, Collider Ventures, FJ Labs, and others.
11. Moralis | undiscloused sum | Morningstar Ventures | private round
Moralis has unique goal to make building Web3 apps or dApps dramatically easier. Morningstar Ventures Officially Invests in Moralis.
12. Bumper | $10m | Alphabit, Autonomy, Beachhead and others | private round
Bumper, a kind of insurance policy against cryptocurrency’s roller-coaster volatility borrowing techniques used in decentralized finance (DeFi), has raised $10m from Alphabit, Autonomy, Beachhead, ChainLayer and others in a private token sale.
13. Alchemy | $80m | Coatue Management, Addition LP | series B round
Alchemy, the crypto firm that powers dozens of NFT and DeFi platforms with its developer tools, has raised $80m in a Series B funding round. Coatue Management co-led the round alongside Addition LP.
14. TradeStars | $1.67m | AU21, Block Dream Fund and LD Capital Partners and others | strategy round
TradeStars is a Fantasy Sports platform where Fractional NFT markets enable a DeFi gamification system for trading digital assets that represent real-life stats of athletes’ performances. Project secured funding of $1.67m through a strategic investment round led by AU21, Block Dream Fund and LD Capital Partners, with the participation of Sfermion, Taureon, Spark Digital Capital, Morningstar Ventures, Free Company, Faculty Capital, Hype Partners, NGC Ventures, Krypital Group, and some remarkable individuals. Funds will be used for further development and market the product.
15. Dfyn Network | $2.4m | CMS Holdings, QCP Capital, DFG, Spark Capital and others | seed | private round
Dfyn Network raised $2.4m in seed and private rounds, introducing much-needed fresh capital into a project that’s looking to build the first-of-a-kind Multi-chain AMM as a key building block to enabling cross-chain liquidity migration capabilities. Investors include CMS Holdings, QCP Capital, DFG, Spark Capital, Signum, Blockchain Dream Fund, AU21, Black Edge, Faculty Group, Shima Capital, MorningStar Ventures, Moonrock, GenblockVC, Amesten Capital, Zokyo Ventures, Lotus Capital, Blockpact Capital, X21, Exnetwork, Momentum 6, MGNR, GBIC, and Cryptoslate. Investors also include other leading protocol founders from projects such as MantraDao, Persistence, Razor, Nord, Umbrella.network, and Frontier.
16. Anoma | $6.75m | Polychain Capital, Electric Capital, Coinbase Ventures and others | private round
Anoma, a layer one blockchain in development, wants to help traders move assets across networks with privacy technology and without the need for a base currency. Anoma closed its first private sale of $6.75m earlier this year. The round, led by Polychain Capital, included prominent backers Electric Capital, Coinbase Ventures, FBG Capital, CMS Holdings, Lemniscap, Cygni Labs and Walden Bridge Capital.
17. Lever.Network | $600k | NGC Venture, ArkStream Capital, LD Capital and others | seed
Lever.Network, the number one AMM-based decentralized margin trading platform,is excited to announce the successful completion of a $600k seed funding round led by NGC Venture, ArkStream Capital, LD Capital and AU21 Capital, along with contributions from DAOMaker, YBB, DFG and other top venture capitalists in the field.
18. TrustBase | $2m | Gate Labs | strategy round
Gate Labs invested $2m in TrustBase. TrustBase is a smart contract parachain based on independent developing language Subscript. With the infinite prospects of the underlying language of TrustBase itself, it is committed to jointly contributing to the Polkadot ecosystem.
19. Concordium | $36m | undiscloused investors | private round
Concordium, a privacy-focused blockchain, has just completed its fourth funding round in which the firm raised $36m; this pushed the valuation of the blockchain firm to around $1.5B. The funding round was focused on the Private Placement of its cryptocurrency GTU.
20. Justlink.io | undiscloused sum | WINk | acquisition
Gaming platform WINk has completed the acquisition of Justlink.io, oracles for Tron ecosystem.
21. Figment Capital | $16m | new fund
Canada-based blockchain infrastructure provider Figment has launched a $16m investment fund, Figment Capital, to support decentralized protocols and applications including Cosmos, Terra and Livepeer. The funding will be dedicated to projects building on multiple layer ones also including Polkadot, Ethereum, Solana, Celo and NEAR.
22. EmiSwap | $1.4m | undiscloused investors | seed
EmiSwap, a community-governed decentralized exchange (DEX) offering high rewards for liquidity providers (LPs), has announced the raise of $1.4m in seed funding for its ESW token.
23. Nexon Co. | $100m | BTC purchase
Tokyo-based video game publishing company Nexon Co., Ltd. has announced that it has recently invested $100m in Bitcoin. According to Nexon’s press release, the company has bought “1,717 bitcoins for approximately $100 million (¥11.1 billion) at an average price of approximately $58,226 (¥6,446,183) per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses.” This investment “represents less than 2% of Nexon’s total cash and cash equivalents on hand.”
24. Grayscale | $2.5B | purchase
Grayscale Investments, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group led by Barry Silbert, has announced that it purchased $2.5B in digital currencies in a single day and, as of April 27, it holds $45.5 billion worth of crypto.
25. NFT Alley | $1m | Amesten Capital, AU 21 capital, X21 Digital and others | seed, private and public rounds
NFT Alley, a new marketplace to launch India’s first multi-chain marketplace within the virtual economy, has successfully secured funding from the top-tier investors within the industry. It raised a total of $1m in seed, private and public rounds. Notable investors, including Amesten Capital, AU 21 capital, X21 Digital, Moonwhale Ventures, participated in the funding round.
26. Rally | $57m | public and community rounds
The Rally community approved two separate fundraising events to fund its community treasury and empower its continued growth. In January, the Rally community approved a community treasury fundraise and successfully raised ~$35m USDC through its community agent. The Rally community also approved a sale by CoinList through its token distribution platform, which took place between April 1–3, with a max purchase threshold of $1k per participant. This distribution resulted in an additional $22m USDC for the community treasury, with more than 40k new overseas users becoming part of the Rally community following the sale.
27. Polygon | $100m | new fund
Polygon, an easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development, has recently launched a $100m fund intended to improve the accessibility of the decentralized finance (DeFi) space to more users.
28. VeChain | $1m | grant
VeChain (VET) Foundation has launched a $1m grant program to build its NFT ecosystem.The program will fund NFT projects on VeChainThor such as marketplaces, token bridges, DeFi apps, open source tools and more.
29. SingularityDAO | $2.7m | AlphaBit, GBV, SMO Capital and others | private round
SingularityDAO, the independent DeFi-centric project incubated by SingularityNET, has raised $2.7m in private sale funding from led investor AlphaBit, with participation from GBV (Genesis Block Ventures), SMO Capital, QCP Capital, AU21, Jun Capital, Magnus Capital and Moonwhale Ventures.
30. Globe | $18m | Y Combinator, Pantera Capital, Draper Dragon and others | private round
Up-and-coming derivatives exchange GlobeDEX — or Globe as it’s simply known — has closed a private round worth $18m. Y Combinator and Pantera Capital were among the lead investors in Globe’s private round which also saw Draper Dragon, Republic Crypto, OKEx, CMT Digital, and Wave Financial write checks.
31. Finoa | $22m | Balderton Capital, Revolut, Luno and others | series A round
Institutional crypto custodian Finoa has raised $22m in a Series A funding round. The round was led by venture capital firm Balderton Capital, an investor in companies like Revolut and bitcoin wallet Luno. Other participants in the round included existing investors Coparion, Venture Stars, and Signature Ventures, as well as an undisclosed investor.
32. Paxos | $300m | Oak HC/FT, PayPal Ventures, Declaration Partners and others| series D round
Blockchain infrastructure company Paxos closed a $300m Series D round of funding, one of the largest ever among cryptocurrency and blockchain startups. Led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from previous investors PayPal Ventures, Declaration Partners, and Liberty City Ventures, among others, the round values the company at $2.4B and brings its total raised capital to more than $500m.
33. PolkaRare | $2m | 150+ participants | private round
Non-fungible token (NFT) Marketplace for the rarest NFTs, PolkaRare, is proud to announce a successful fundraise of $2m from notable investors in the blockchain space, the rounds were participated by more than 150+ participants including Top investors, Influencers, and exchanges and oversubscribed by more than 25x.
34. Hashflow | undiscloused sum | Electric Capital, Alameda Research, Metastable Capitaland others | seed
Hashflow is a protocol that connects users on-chain to the top crypto market makers. 35. The European Investment Bank | $121m | bonds
The European Investment Bank (EIB), the investment bank owned by the EU Member States, has announced the issuance of the organization’s first-ever digital bond built on a public blockchain. The bond was issued using Ethereum and the issuance invoked $121m two-year bonds placed with key market investors.

Venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz (a16z crypto) is looking to raise a fund of as much as $1b to invest in cryptocurrencies and crypto startups
37. Skew | undiscloused sum | Coinbase | acquisition
Coinbase is acquiring Skew, the leading institutional data visualization and analytics platform for crypto markets. Through this acquisition, Coinbase reinforces commitment to serving the growing institutional market.
38. Notional Finance | $10m | Pantera Capital, VC firms Parafi, 1Confirmation and others | series A round
Fixed-rate crypto lending startup Notional Finance raised $10m in a Series A led by Pantera Capital. VC firms Parafi, 1Confirmation, Spartan Group, Nascent and Nima Capital also joined the Ethereum-based protocol’s equity round.
