January, the month of resolutions, planning, and the universal sigh about festive feasts. But here's the reality —only 22% of resolution-makers see them through past January (of the 37% who even made them in the first place).
So, how are your personal commitments holding up post-holiday bliss?
Sticking to new habits is tricky once reality hits. The alarm buzzes, and suddenly the snooze button is more appealing than the treadmill. But fear not, there's a strategy that goes beyond the January hype.
1. Clarity is Key: Define your goals and why they matter. Picture success vividly. Know what you're working toward and where that finish line gleams.
2. Personalise the Change: Link your resolutions back to your goals. Make it personal, make it matter. Connect every change to your overarching objectives.
3. Keep It Simple: Limit yourself to one or two changes. Too many goals = overwhelm. Prioritize and commit wholeheartedly.
4. Measure Your Success: If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. Define how you'll know you've conquered that goal. Progress needs accountability.

5. Break It Down: For big projects, break them into bite-sized, achievable steps. Trust me, there's immense satisfaction in ticking off a checklist.
6. Blend with Existing Habits: Starting a new habit? Integrate it with something you already do or enjoy. Less resistance, more traction.
7. Accountability is Key: Get yourself an accountability partner. Work together or keep each other on track.
8. Take Action, now!: Take 5 minutes now to progress one step. Make that call, schedule that meeting - just act!
Remember, this journey isn't about perfection; it's about progress. So, dust off those resolutions and let's turn them into achievements.

10 个月Consistency is key. Thousands of small steps creates a huge journey to success. I love layering my new habits in bite size chunks. I use to say I don’t have time to fit anything into my morning. I use to say I can’t meditate my mind is always racing. I use to say can’t …….. I’ve completely changed myself and my routines. I prioritise me (some people don’t like it meh) I now practice gratitude every morning and bring it with me the entire day. I practice breath work every morning. I meditate EVERY morning. I drink lemon and salt water 1/2 to a litre in the mornings. I dance body movement shifts energy. My I can’t now days is I can’t start my day till I’m at the best version of me. Preparing myself each day allows me to give my all to helping my clients, family, friends and even the strangers I meet. Great article Michelle Griffiths I can’t wait to chat more this year ??
