CRUD - Great Game for the office...
... if you have a pool table and wish to play a super fun game with the whole office. This was 12 of Team Sense Engineering in Vancouver playing CRUD during this week’s Beer Friday.
Almost as many people that can fit the room can play. The game goes well when fueled by a beer or two, if you are so inclined.
CRUD is an unauthorized, unrecognized, thoroughly Canadian and probably illegal variation of pool or billiards that is played using your hands. The game is rumoured to have been created by bored Royal Canadian Air Force pilots during WW II who were waiting in Gander, Newfoundland for their flights to the UK. Further speculation has it that the originators were unable to play traditional pool because some the previous visitors to the Gander airfield had broken all of the cues.
If you would like the instructions as to how to play CRUD, just drop me a line.
Thanks Jeff Gostlin of Keefer Lake Lodge for showing me and a bunch of my buddies this game and thanks Black Kettle our neighbouring micro brewery for the added fuel.
Send me those instructions! :)
