CRS Annual Meeting & Exhibition (21-23 July 2019, Valencia, Spain)

The CRS Conference just finished. And I would like to share the posters that my colleagues presented to update you with our recent research progress. 

Coating of small particles in the fluid-bed with aqueous-based polymer coatings is a challenging task which is coupling with problems of particles agglomeration and reducing the coating yield. So, on the first poster, you can see how this problem was successfully solved using the new technological approach supported with some insights with powder rheology investigation. 

The following video is representing used in this poster non-standard method of powder rheology investigation. This method was developed by us and wasn't described in literature before (at least we haven't found any information). Standard GranuDrum-device (drum rheometer) was utilised with additional external air-heater to maintain desirable powder temperature during the test.  

The second poster is representing the additional advantages of the technological approach (see the first poster) which allows not only to enable of small particles coating and highly increase the coating yield but also to reduce the amount of coating polymer amount to achieve the same result. 

And the third poster is introducing to the innovation of enteric-coated products dissolution testing. The advantage of this approach is concluded in the ability of the reliable method to provide bio-relevant dissolution test results.
