A message from our Managing Director, Tandi Palmer Williams :

Welcome to this month's update, bringing you some geeky treats from around the world.

We started our year by looking back at the audience highlights of 2023.

Already in 2024, the story continues to unfold. Our biggest cities are abuzz with Taylor Swift fever, and we had a good giggle at this list of 11?things Taylor and her team should experience in Sydney.

News out of the RBA this week had glimmers of hope, but mortgage holders aren’t expecting any relief until later in the year, and even then, it’s not going to make a big difference on disposable incomes for a while yet.

It’s likely that we’ll see financial barriers persist, and if you’re wondering what that means for different?audience segments?or geographic areas, we have you covered.

We’d love to know what stood out from your year —?and how you’re feeling about 2024. Hit reply and let me know?

Take care out there,

Tandi

Updates from the team

A big congratulations to the Songmakers team ( APRA AMCOS ), on securing $2m investment from the Victorian Government. If you’re wondering what’s so special about this program, check out the stats from our evaluation report on their school holiday program from 2023.

We’ve been going deep into regional arts and sector development lately, and it was great to see the Dance Sector Uplift report published in November ( Arts Northern Rivers ). If you’re interested in the vibrancy and sustainability of regional arts careers, I encourage you to give that one a read.

Our team was lucky enough to come together on Bundjalung country in December, for 3 days of connection, reflection and planning. Check out the highlights on Instagram. I also dropped in to Morwenna Collett, CF GAICD ’s team retreat for some big thinking about access and inclusion.
