On Crowdfunding Success and Use

I'm excited to have been invited to this year's Scottish Institute of Fundraisers Conference in October to speak about how GORGIE CITY FARM's ￡100k crowdfund broke all the "rules" of how to crowdfund, why it was successful and how we used the capital to invest it in our organisation's redevelopment and resiliency. 

In January 2016 I was recruited with only a few weeks cash and no secure core funding. In the 12 months following the appeal, we spent all of it investing in organisational improvements and made it all back 12 months propelling the organisation to long term sustainability.
