I’m not sure about you, but life has been FULL for me lately. But lots of exciting things happening both in and outside of the podcasting world. However some people have told me that they subscribe to the newsletter and get a lot of value from it. So naturally I felt a ton of guilt and shame about ghosting everyone… so

here we are!

But before we get too much into the podcasting stuff, I’d love to do a quick plug for my newest show, Modern Masculinity.’ It’s a men’s mental health show that is seeming to resonate with a lot of people.

I recently sat down with Robb Conlan, someone who’s been podcasting for almost two decades - and we had a discussion about whether there was too many podcasts out there and what someone can do to stand out in a “crowded” niche. You can hear the episode here.

Have you tried the ‘Podcast Pilot?’

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you know that I’ve been fascinated with this whole AI thing and how it can help podcasters. And recently ChatGPT created apps or what they’re calling “agents” that can do specific functions like writing show notes, helping you identify promotional strategies, and more.

So far almost 200 people have tried it out! And if you have a ChatGPT premium subscription, you can access it here for free! Just be sure to let me know if it says anything crazy or doesn’t work for you. ??

Come Hang Out with Other Podcasters

The last thing I want to mention is our biweekly networking events we host for Podcast AMA. We get together virtually every two weeks with other podcasters to connect and collaborate on our shows. These networking events are always free to attend, and podcasters of all experience levels are welcome!

Finish the Year Strong!

I can't believe it's already December. This year seemed to fly by. But one of my mentors told me one time that, “the great ones finish strong.” Because it’s easy to get out of the gate strong. In January, everyone will be excited and motivated about their new year’s resolution. But what if you could have a running start and the momentum of an entire extra month - especially while everyone else is fattening up during the holidays.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m not a fan of everything about the hustle culture. And I want you to be able to enjoy yourself with your family, of course. But also keep your head up and imagine where your show could be in February and March if you started getting serious about it today.

Anyways — I don’t want to get too preachy, so I’m going to cut it off.
