How Tank-Pro is different to your standard gas detector
Tank-Pro is a gas detection unit especially suited to inert environments where standard gas detectors just won't work due to its dual infra-red sensors. One common hydrocarbon detection method is pellistor sensors. However, these sensors require the presence of oxygen to work, and if hydrocarbon levels get too high the can compromise the sensors' effectivess.
Tank-Pro meets these unique challenges with its dual infra-red sensors and ability to check tanks both full of hydrocarbon and fully purged.
Detecting the danger with dual infra-red
Tank-Pro employs the best sensor technology to reliably monitor confined spaces - dual infra-red (IR). IR sensors are not inhibited by high hydrocarbon concentrations and don't require oxygen to work. Unlike single IR sensors, the dual nature of this sensor enables it to cope with gas in high %vol as well as %LEL concentration. An integrated pump quickly draws samples from lines up to 30 metres long, so tanks can be checked quickly - ideal when the atmosphere that needs sampling is a long walk or climb away
