Was just about to post a #ThrowbackThursday picture and then stopped as an overwhelming sense of emotion hit me as I looked at the picture, I looked at those in the picture and thought, it hurts to know that sometimes the people you love the most you can’t help, maybe they see you as it’s just only you.

They are always talking about their faith, family, business whatever the topic that’s good for him but not for me. I often think in my head why is it I can travel the country and inspire hundred if not thousands of young people/Young adults through my talks, workshops, seminars or events but those closest you can’t. It caused me to just STOP and think about key decisions I have had to make, that at the time caused me great pain as I where I used to be, was comfortable everyone was there, going there, doing that but I wanted different.

It inspired the thought “The Cross roads” there comes in everybody’s life when we are at a crossroads you can either go left or right, or straight but whatever you do don’t look back. I have always wondered why in the text I read there are messages about “Don’t look back” or “Press forward forgetting those things that are behind” but nobody talks about the grey between the black and white texts. Like do you know what that means to not look back, don’t go back into the mind-set, the pain, the problems, situations that you have come out of. I think about my crossroad moments, major moments in my life of decisions that have totally changed my life, my decision to Faith, Marriage, to be the best Father possible, to go in Business the list goes on.

But going back to the cross roads, some of us never move to even get to a crossroads we just stay still because it feels safe in the current situation, it’s what you know, it can’t be better if I move, if I go somewhere else, do something else. I want to encourage you that staying still can be a blessing to stop and think but stay still too long you will start to go backwards without you realising. Have you ever been in traffic and the big lorry or bus starts to move you are still but it feel weird like you are going backwards? yeah. Well that is like life. You have to move but with what I call foundation blocks in place Wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Now you start moving you will always get to the cross road moments, left, right or straight if you go left you go back to what you know, the friends even family that you just left and go back into what I would call familiarity “Comfort Zone” go right it’s a half ass effort of going straight, but really in your boot, truck you got deep down the love of what you have just left behind and secretly you are still connected to just a little hand here and there not like before but still involved.

I feel actually the right turn is more dangerous than the left turn because down the right is really is just a longer route back to the start the only difference is you start of well, good intentions, good energy but the place you are coming from has really left your heart and ultimately will draw you back as you experience bumps in the road, the different challenges life brings. You find yourself running back to what you know.

But here is where the real POWER comes what I call Faith Avenue the road of the unknown straight ahead you don’t know what is down that road but a small whisper encourages you to let go, forgetting those things from before, press towards to mark (destination). I have done that and live that. It’s a powerful place of new opportunities, new people, new places but I warn you crossing over is the hardest part because to truly move to the next level, go and do what you have never done before you have let go of everything you think you know, love, you have to embrace Faith Avenue. Unfortunately not everybody you know now can come and it’s that loneliness down Faith Avenue that scares us the most that makes many of us at the crossroad of decision go back to what we know. My encouragement is cross over for at the cross there is POWER, and newest of life!

Hope you found this useful and encourage
