Crossover Leadership Journey - an ISTD initiative , session

Today we attended facilitated workshop by Mr Yogesh Agiwal on contextual leadership journey . It was a very well planned and well executed workshop ! It was evident how much he loves his profession and fellow L&D pros, coaches and trainers and facilitators.

There was workbook with quizzes, question answers, multiple choice questions, team work and group discussion , team presentations, experience sharing and debrief and summing up by facilitator Mr Yogesh and question - answer session and what have you !! All in 3 hours . Mr Yogesh Agiwal struck right balance between interactivity, discussion , and content delivery, changing his hat often between the subject matter expert and a process facilitator .

Equally enriching is the value of input added by each participant ! Some were from HR, some were L&D heads working in companies and some of us are independent consultants . So, each of the participants brought in their unique experience, cases for discussion , and insights .

The frame work has been mentioned in the poster. But the ' stuffing ' each one of us brought into the frame work brought - had rich flavor and nutritional value & food for thought .

My key learnings :

(1) Be more human centric. (2) In the world of too much cognitive overload and information overload, minimalism & digital detox occassionally, will improve leadership presence. (3) Even if you are working with a person , or for a client for a long time, don't take anything for granted . (4) Ability-Motivation Matrix and (5) Performance contracting - to name a few.
