Try to be efficient 4. Do some relevant certifications & courses 5. Try to implement something new from what you learnt 6. Contribute to technical presentations 7. Seek a mentor 8. Implement your learnings in your daily work 9. Show the results to your teams in terms of numbers. e.g. by using this technique, the efficiency can be enhanced by 7% 10. Teach this new approach to your team

Who moved my cheese? If you read this book it explains how opportunities keep moving. So wondering what areas to tackle for continous learning. Please understand where the cheese has moved. For example if you are a marketer, no body should be convincing you to do digital marketing. Its obvious! Thats where the opportunity is. If you are a Tech expert, ai. Has been roaming in your background. If you are a leader, talks of empathy and trust linger as a way to develop your teams. So keep up to date with where the cheese has moved in regards to your career then relearn, unlearn the new skills needed to make you thrive.

A niche way I've enjoyed Learning Actively is to join nonprofit boards of causes I care about. This has allowed me to learn about the cause and the people it supports, as well as meet and work with new people across diverse industries, backgrounds, and perspectives -- while we apply our real-world experience to collaboratively help the mission of the nonprofit move forward. While my background in strategy, organizational development, and leadership is often where I can be most useful, I also try to help in other areas so I can learn new skills from others on the board or within the organization. You also get to learn about aspects of the community and what's going on in the areas that your nonprofit serves. It's win-win!

So many great suggestions from others! One thing I would add beyond reaching out to everyone and anyone at your company and ask, ‘What are you doing that is working? What are you doing or have you stopped doing that isn’t/wasn’t working?’ Learn from their insight to speed your learning curve. But finally, and most importantly, this is a two way street. If someone comes to you for advice, don’t hoard your learnings! Be a part of making other people more effective. It will force you and others to level up!

When you have an end goal in mind, it's helpful to let people inspire you and share some ideas. You can have your vision, but others can help you get there faster.

Review who is in your network - outside your industry sector, from other geographies, different ages, backgrounds etc Then seek to learn from those who are unlike you! By being curious!

It's important to remember that networking isn’t just external. For me, internal networking was the key to my career advancement. Treat every interaction within your organization like a job interview. Become that go-to person in your sector. Be curious and ask colleagues about their roles and departments. Explore how your current skills align with other areas. For example, if you’re in project management, you can highlight how your skills in planning, resource allocation, and team coordination closely align with operations management. Combine that with the strong relationships you've forged and you can position yourself for future opportunities and make transitions smoother.

Una herramienta que he aprendido a lo largo de tiempo y me ha funcionado se llama Retrospectivas ágiles. Esta herramienta aplica para cualquier tipo de iniciativa, proyecto o tarea, las retrospectivas ágiles permiten crecer como equipo y como persona contestando de manera genuina preguntas que nos llevan a una introspección de lo realizado. Además es un momento para reconocer lo bien realizado y aprender de aquello que no nos salió tan bien o puede ser un obstáculo para el logro de nuestros objetivos. Existen diferentes métodos de hacerlas, por lo que se vuelven dinámicas y siempre terminan con un plan de mejora a seguir pero sobre todo concluyen con un equipo mas comprometido.

Hoy en día estamos tan acostumbrados a vivir un ritmo tan acelerado qué nos olvidamos de reflexionar. Una buena pausa para la introspección ayudará a dar una visión más integral y objetiva. Terminaste un curso: Reflexiona lo aprendido y busca la manera de ir aplicandolo dentro de tu situación actual. Los objetivos no se están logrando: tal vez el cambio de estrategia sea tu mejor opción Vives un momento de incertidumbre: reflexiona sobre lo que está bajo tu control, tu mente y tus acciones.

Reflection is a good starting point. Everything starts with awareness, what are your goals, what are your strengths, what are the gaps, how can you fill the gaps to achieve your goals … do you need structured learning (I’m of the view this should take up smallest proportion of continuous leaning), a mentor or coach as you learn on the job or through a strong community and network of like-minded individuals. As humans, we learn every moment of our lives, it is a process where we grow, learning is not limited to gaining new knowledge in a structured program.

If you started a degree 4 years ago, maybe you're just not thinking the same way. We're humans; we change, and so do our goals. It's never too late; you can always speak with people, gain inspiration and create a new path.

Change is the only constant in life, particularly in the professional world. Be prepared to adapt your skills and strategies as new technologies and methodologies emerge. Stay updated on industry trends and be willing to pivot when necessary.
