Crossfire War=Rapid Fire News-Central Europe Theatre: Turkey To Take War in Southeast Europe to Central Europe

Ankara: Turkey intends to take the next round of fighting in Southeast Europe into Central Europe. I suspect that was the target of discussion by Turkey Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu with Germany Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. 2017 this news service, Hurriyet Daily News, reported the meeting in Ankara between the Turkey-Iran Army Chiefs of Staff and they have had recent high level military staff meetings since then. 2006 Greece-Iran sighed security agreements with Serbia. Serbia was cut off from the Adriatic Sea in 1991 when Croatia declared its independence from Yugoslavia and with Croatia's crooked-twisted boundary also cut off Bosnia from the Adriatic.

Berlin led the recognition of Croatia before the year ended as did most NATO governments the following year. But in 1992 Teheran established relations with Zagreb, Croatia's capital then Iran announced Croatia was Iran's entry into Central Europe. Before the decade ended Germany sent Poland Leopard tanks and the U.S. sent Poland F-16's. NATO offensives against Serbia reached their peak in 1999 with a 78 day air offensive. And that is why Ankara-Athens viewed these offensives, gradually going further south, as projections of power directed at the Balkan region.

The last serious flare up was January 2001 in Macedonia caused by Albanian nationalist taking the war to Greece's border. Just one month before Reuters reported Turkey-Iran were comparing intelligence information but would not say about where. I had really believed this old-historical hatred within Europe had ended in 1945 with the end of World War II. But societies are their psychological history including this hatred by most of Europe against the Balkans. When the division of Yugoslavia took place then all the continental intrigue news from here sounded like Europe of the 19th century.
