Cropping Images in PowerPoint, Plus Tips on Effective Use of Animations and Video

I recently gave a presentation about how to use PowerPoint effectively and some common pitfalls to avoid -- and learned some new things along the way. For example, I had always used a separate image editor to crop images and didn't know the capabilities for accomplishing that within PowerPoint.
