???? ??Crop Physiology and Crop Production???? ??
Plants MDPI
Plants (ISSN 2223-7747; IF=4.5) is an international, scientific, Open Access journal of plant science.
The Crop Physiology and Crop Production section of the journal?Plants?is devoted to publishing papers on all levels of crop physiology and production, which include, but are not limited to, the plant physiological processes (nutrition, photosynthesis, etc.) and external factors (plant–environment interactions, abiotic and biotic stress factors, etc.) that control crop production and grain, fruit, and general product quality.
Papers using new methods for investigating phenotypic traits, such as plant growth, development, and composition, as well as responses to the environment, widely known as phenotyping, are welcome. This section also welcomes papers on using models to study crop physiology, production, and yield quality. Finally, agronomic or physiological studies with the aim of helping growers to select or breed genotypes, varieties, clones, etc., are within the scope of this section.
The Crop Physiology and Crop Production section publishes both reviews and original research papers, as well as application notes, computational tools, and resources and methods.
In particular, but not exclusively, this section welcomes high-level manuscripts on the following topics:

Meet our Section Editor-in-chief, Dr. Fermín Morales Iribas! Dr. Fermín Morales Iribas is a Scientific Researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and works in the field of #sustainableagriculture and #climatechange . In particular, he is focused on investigating, using physiological, biochemical and genetic variability approaches, how different crops respond to the increase in atmospheric CO2 and in their interactions with the increase in temperature and water availability, all associated and in a context of climate change.
