Croissants Are a Flaky Lesson in Excellence.

Croissants Are a Flaky Lesson in Excellence.

A few months ago, I took a croissant-making class in the charming Marais district of Paris. Little did I know how many intricate steps go into creating these seemingly simple pastries – not to mention the shocking amount of butter involved.

This experience was a delicious reminder that even things that appear effortless on the surface often contain multiple layers of unseen effort. It's a principle that applies far beyond the bakery:

  • What looks simple may be deceptively complex
  • Excellence requires dedication to unseen details
  • True quality often lies in the layers beneath the surface

The best brands understand this. They're not fooled by appearances, no matter how appealing. Instead, they embrace the deeper levels of effort and work required to achieve true excellence.

Culture today demands followers not mastery. One reason I love watching the Olympics is that millions of followers won't help you win a medal. Hard work and dedication do the trick. Love your newsletter.
