ASTM Test Methods for Sulfur Content Analysis

AccuStandard offers a wide selection of Sulfur Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) prepared in different solvents or petroleum matrices such as Isooctane, Diesel Fuel, Mineral Oil and Kerosene. These standards are designed to help quantify sulfur content following different ASTM methods.

Our Sulfur reference standards are produced in accordance with our ISO 17034 quality system which means they are subject to rigorous quality evaluation to provide reliability, quality, compliance and a product you can trust for your sulfur analysis.

Shop Sulfur Standards By ASTM Method

ASTM D2622 - Sulfur in Petroleum Products by Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry

ASTM D3120 - Trace Quantities of Sulfur in Light Liquid Petroleum Hydrocarbons by Oxidative Microcoulometry

ASTM D4294 - Sulfur in Petroleum and Petroleum Products by Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry

ASTM D5453 - Determination of Total Sulfur in Light Hydrocarbons, Spark Ignition Engine Fuel, Diesel Engine Fuel, and Engine Oil by Ultraviolet Fluorescence

Why to use a Blank Standard for your Analysis?

For standards in diesel, or any non-solvent based matrix, AccuStandard requires purchasing a blank to compensate for any natural sulfur that may be present. This is especially important for low level sulfur concentrations where native sulfur can significantly impact the concentration in the calibration standard.
