Critiquing ourselves….. damn surprised even me!

In 17 years of our business, this has never happened.

One of Unleashing Potential’s really great to-work-with clients presented us with a bit of a scenario…. Let me explain…

Now the question of “What benefit does paying you a monthly management fee provide?” comes up fairly often. We explain the logical way in which management improves the campaign, particularly in the first 6 -12 months. But…. We’ve never had a scenario where we can truly put that to the test….until now!

We were requested to set up a Google Ad campaign by this client last year, but then NOT manage it.

And then we’ve been this year invited back to review the account without it being managed. The client then asked again what difference would have been made if it had been managed. She wanted numbers.

So here’s what we did….

?

We took the stats of ALL of our Google Ad campaigns that we have managed for clients since 2020 and we looked at the average growth on the campaigns for 2 main metrics…

1)????? Growth in traffic

2)????? Growth in conversion

We then produced an average. We found that compared to the first month after the setup of the campaign, the average growth at the 6-month mark is

1)????? 35% growth in traffic (the lowest growth we experienced was 9%)

35% growth in traffic after 6 months of management, average figure on clients sampled from 2020 -2024


2)????? 100% growth in conversion (the lowest growth we experienced was 20%)

BUT….

The client's campaign that wasn’t managed, the campaign didn’t just retain stagnant results, instead it declined steadily over the course of 6 months. Until the resulting conversions were close to half of what it was after the first month.

Therefore….

There was a difference in the 6-month mark between the average results we’ve obtained for a client with a managed account and this client's account of ….. 220%.

That means that there was a difference of more than an x4 the result by in what would have been (probably) if we had managed the account.

So is it worth having your Google Ad campaign professionally managed? ….. Yes.
