Criteria Labs now ISO 17025 Certified!

It's been a long time coming, but as of April 3, 2019, Criteria Labs is now officially ISO 17025 Certified. We have taken tremendous strides to constantly improve and refine quality and operations at our facility, so our natural next step was to obtain this certification.

What is ISO 17025? This certification is awarded to companies who demonstrate technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. Meaning that equipment is calibrated correctly, processes are followed correctly, and results are recorded and reported correctly.

Why obtain ISO 17025? The requirements of this certification are more stringent than that of the standard ISO 9001 (Which Criteria Labs has maintained for several years), and is widely known for its use in the Automotive industry. This is all in an effort to support our growing customer base and distinguish Criteria Labs from other test labs in the country.

What does this mean for the company? This enables a higher confidence level from our customers (even those outside of the automotive industry) that results that are issued from our reliability qualification tests are collected and reported accurately with verified calibrated equipment.

What's next? The road map for Criteria Labs has us obtaining AS9100 as our next certification. This opens up doors to many more defense and aerospace programs, and will push us to continue to develop and grow our skill set to make every customer of ours successful in their mission.
