Crisis. Chaos. Clarity.
A joyful memory

Crisis. Chaos. Clarity.

Amidst the situation we are in, we must look for alternative ways to carry on with our work, live as normally as we can and to look after ourselves mentally and physically.

Here are some of the key ideas I plan on implementing; please feel free to add anything that you are doing and will help other people:

??Mental and physical well-being:

??The gyms have closed, so I am going to pull out my exercise mat and exercise at home. The virtual training from the internet will help; I think my leisure centre will also be offering virtual recorded sessions.

??I have increased my daily dose of stress management tools: Meditation and EFT.

??I will consciously limit my dose of news and TV because these two can gobble away time and peace easily and quickly.

??Virtual social connection:

??We might be physically distanced from people but staying connected through technology will prove to be a boon. Thank Goodness for the FaceTime, Skype and Zoom. They keep us connected with friends and family at a tiny investment.

??Learning:

??I've got to complete a couple of programs I had signed up for but have not been able to complete them yet. Now seems like the perfect time. The same thing applies to the waiting list of my books too.

??Work:

??The weather is improving, so I plan on grabbing my tripod and phone, stepping into my garden and creating new content for my existing coaching programs. It is important that we regularly update our current programs based on the experience we have had from clients and feedback received from them.

??Whilst I recognise that our world outside is changing, I also want to be there for people who are looking for coaching support to get through this crisis or exploring options in their work or personal life. By being there for others as a coach, I will also be there for myself.

?? I am also volunteering my time and expertise as a coach and a facilitator to help other people.

At the moment, I do not want to make any assumptions on how my work as a coach will be impacted because I do not know. So, either I will be serving my clients, or improving my programs or working on myself through learning. All the three options are fantastic.

??Quality family time:

??I see this as the perfect time to spend some quality time with my spouse.

So, that is my list. Reading back it looks that I have healthy alternatives for most things. Do any of these look relevant to you? What will you like to add to this list?

The crisis we are in feels chaotic but clarity will stem out of it.

Stay safe. Stay kind. Stay hopeful.
