The unfortunate reality is that thousands of violent crimes, property crimes and traffic crimes are committed every year in Suffolk County. From homicide, manslaughter and assault, to possession of drugs, driving while intoxicated, other traffic crimes and speeding tickets, the mere fact that over 1.5 million people reside in Suffolk County leads to the fact that many crimes will be committed.

Craig Purcell has been practicing criminal law in Suffolk County for 44 years. He began his career as an attorney in the Criminal Division of the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County in 1973 and has continued practicing criminal law ever since. He has tried dozens of cases including DWI’s, assaults, drug sale and possession, larceny and even conspiracy to commit murder. While we cannot guarantee the outcome of your case, you can be assured that if you are charged with a crime, Glynn Mercep and Purcell, LLP, will represent you vigorously and will take your case to trial if we cannot work out a disposition with the District Attorney’s Office that is fair to you. In addition, we represent people with tickets at the new traffic court bureau at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge. If you have been charged with speeding and other traffic infractions, we may be able to help you. We have been able to work out satisfactory dispositions of most cases and will go to trial to protect your rights if a disposition that is acceptable to you cannot be obtained.
