Cricket Training facility in New Panvel with DVF

The Panvel Municipal Corporation is setting up an international standard cricket facility with Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation. It will be developed over 28, 000 sq m in sector 11 of New Panvel. Recently, the contract has been signed between both parties with the approval of Rs. 9 crores to set up the sports arena. This facility will train around 101 budding cricketers every year, free of cost. The selection will be merit-based, where 50% of children will be picked from PCMC jurisdiction and 25% will be selected from the Raigad district and the state, respectively. The project will be completed in 12 months.
