How CRED Delivers a Unified Product Experience

At THC, we've long had a pet peeve about the disconnect between product design and visual design. This often leads to various apps and services with cluttered interfaces that work, provided you don't get overwhelmed.

CRED is a welcome exception, delivering a unified product experience despite a wide range of offerings from UPI payments to romantic holidays. We spoke to Harish Sivaramakrishnan , Head of Design, and Abhay Pruthi , Head of CRED Commerce, to find out how they manage this.

3 big takeaways:

  1. Solve a problem in the most deserving and elegant way, then think about design consistency.
  2. Apply Pareto thinking. Do not design for the average.
  3. Use the brand image as a guardrail to keep clutter out.
