Credit Risk Analyst

Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented Credit Risk Analyst to assess and mitigate credit risk within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial statements to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and to make informed decisions on lending activities. The Credit Risk Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that our lending practices are sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·?????? Conduct thorough risk analysis on existing and potential clients to identify and mitigate credit risks.

·?????? Develop and implement credit risk models and methodologies to measure and monitor credit risk exposure.

·?????? Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, sales, and senior management, to review and approve credit proposals.

·?????? Monitor the performance of loan portfolios and recommend strategies to minimize credit losses.

·?????? Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory landscape, and best practices in credit risk management.

·?????? Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on credit risk metrics, trends, and portfolio performance for senior management and regulatory authorities.

·?????? Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance credit risk management processes and systems.

Qualifications:

·?????? Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) would be considered an advantage.

·?????? Proven experience in credit risk analysis within the financial services industry, preferably in lending or banking.

·?????? Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.

·?????? Knowledge of credit risk models, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

·?????? Strong knowledge in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g. Python/R) is a must.

·?????? Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).

·?????? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
