Creators! Choose your brands wisely!
Suppose a creator is paid to promote a brand, but the business fails.
Soon enough, people lose their money and ultimately blame the creators for it.
The creators, however, shrug off the blame, blaming it on the brands.
This is an extremely important issue that affects the creator economy, because many start-ups are starting to fold. ??
We believe that this isn’t the sole responsibility of the said creator, even though their recommendation definitely had an influence on the consumer’s purchase. "The downfall" must be the shared responsibility of both the creator and the business in question.
But should creators even take on such projects, in the first place?
Sometimes, it’s easy money.
So the obvious answer is yes, right?

Creators need to be mindful of the sponsorships and projects they’re going to work on, because...

Creators usually hope for such sponsorships to be a long-term collaboration, so taking on a project with a brand that’s about to go under isn’t very lucrative for the said creator.
?? They have an impact on consumer behavior
This also identifies the supply and demand for a good or service. If they work with businesses that are about to shut down, there’s no real reason for them to work with such brands apart from the money.
?? Don’t say "yes" to things you don’t believe in
If you’re a creator reading this, it’s important to remember that you must stay true to yourself! Even if that means turning down easy money.
There will always be brands that want to reach out to you, which will help you make a quick buck.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on your values just for the money.
Stay true to yourself and to your content! The opportunities will follow. ?
