Creator! I need only You!

Idol worship is to elevate a created object than the Creator. It could be money or a beautiful woman or any kind of celebrity. Thus, worshiping the created objects instead of the Creator, is idolatrous. This is the root cause for all sins!

True repentance means, leaving all that is created, we must return to God and say, "Almighty God! You are the only one who is worthy for our praise and worship. I am very sorry that I have worshiped the created objects till this day! From this day, I desire nothing on Earth but You" (Psalm 73:25).

For "You only", it does not mean that we have to leave our jobs or family and go to a forest or a mountain to become a monk. Not at all! God wants all of us to earn for ourselves and to have families. Making money is not a sin. But it is a sin when we love money, more than God!

The gravity of this magical world is deadly! Satan tried to deceive Jesus by displaying "the glory of the world" within a moment. But Jesus did defiance the idolatrous worship of the world and was victorious by "worshiping God for ever"! (Luke 4:8). We will follow in His footsteps!!

Prayer:

Lord, the Heavenly Creator, Anything that separates You is an 'idol'. Grant us to serve you forever! Father, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
