One word: Creativity

As a decision maker, you navigate every day in a sea of uncertainty, trying to trail the blaze for your company as best as you can. Are you facing headwinds? No problem, you can turn the boat around. Tailwinds? Nothing a little jibe can’t fix. As a matter of fact, you know a thing or two about sailing. It requires knowledge, technique and a fair share of rationality.

But if your strategies, your services, your products, your management and your hiring process lack creativity, your progress will stall. How can you establish yourself as a manager, a newfound leader, without a dash of creativity? This quality is essential to your current and future successes as a leader. If you want your company to find its path, you need to first help it find itself.

This is not just a philosophy that you need to adopt; creativity needs to be included in actual processes that address the challenges your company faces.

Think outside the box, and allow all your employees to look for and share new trails by allocating time and resources. Support their joint efforts. Most importantly: allow them to fail, if only so they can get back on their feet and put new ideas forward.?

You will need to stay open-minded, and you will need to trust your team. In return, they will give you their trust, and so will your clients.
