On CREATIVITY
On CREATIVITY ... be inspired!
We are blessed with an amazing imagination. Our minds have permitted the development of remarkable organizations, religions, and technologies, as well as accomplishments in art and literature. But imagination and the power to create is not simply for social good but resides primarily in personal quests. We each have the capacity to create and express ourselves by generating something new. The rewards are remarkable.
My Story
As a child I was constantly building --model airplanes, scooters, go-carts, forts -- and designing -- rockets, other worlds.?Later on, art -- random sculpture.?Even later, buildings -- homes and hospitals. Now I find myself creating more in the abstract - businesses and ideas.?But I miss the visual expression.?At?my?college reunion I was asked what I would like to accomplish in the next ten years. Weld a sculpture!

REFLECTIONS:
Observation 1.?What things did you create or what stories did you make up as a child?
Observation 2.?When you put your attention on something now,?how does it feel?
Observation 3.?Do you get the sense that as you have aged and your creativity has waned??If so,?what can you do to reignite that creative spark, keeping in mind there are many ways to apply your creativity?
