Creativity Games to Turbocharge Your Marketing

Creativity Games to Turbocharge Your Marketing

Why think when you can ChatGPT? With the development of the AI technologies, there is a strong temptation to stop thinking and only get ready-made answers and solutions, blindly trusting them. On one hand, it saves time, and if a template solution speeds up work without compromising quality, it’s very convenient. Also, when something is done for the first time, being informed reduces tension.

On the other hand, when you need to come up with an unconventional solution, developed creativity skills can help cope with this. If you don't develop your "creative streak," it's hard to find joy in simple things and be productive when needed.

Creativity can wither due to its rare use, so I suggest a few fun games on how you could diversify your thinking and stretch your mind.

During brainstorming sessions, you will be particularly productive.

Games to Develop Creativity

It's great to hold such games in the marketing department on a monthly basis. I think it's an excellent team-building and enjoyable pastime for the team with benefit and positivity. You can also "train" independently, for example, during a walk.

  1. Sell me a rubber chicken. Take any item (we'll avoid the usual suspects) and describe its non-obvious qualities for a potential buyer. The more outlandish and whimsical, the better. Think outside the box, far away from standard uses.

  • Crazy Idea #1: Rubber chicken as a multi-functional tool.

Need a stress reliever? Squeeze it and let its delightful squeak lighten your mood. Hungry? (Just kidding, don't eat it!) Use it as a hilarious icebreaker at parties or meetings. It's the ultimate prop for your next stand-up comedy gig.

  • Crazy Idea #2: Rubber chicken as an art piece.

Mount it on a pedestal and call it "Abstract Avian." Who knows, it might just become the next big thing in modern art. Visitors to your home will marvel at your creative genius and quirky taste. It's not just a toy; it's a statement.

2. Come up with a fairy tale. Great if you have kids; you can create it while spending time with the family. Invent your character and their life adventures; they can be short, funny stories in your head or can be a whole storyline. J.K. Rowling also once composed and told fairy tales to her children. Not everyone turns it into a profession, but it can be truly funny. Funny problems and even funnier solutions.

  • Crazy Idea #3: Shell dreams of becoming a star.

At the bottom of the ocean lived a small shell, tired of the faceless life at the bottom of the ocean, and decided it wanted to perform on stage, but how? One day, it was washed ashore and there, picked up by a costume designer for a famous performer... and the shell's wish came true; it ended up on stage.

3. Give the first thing you see 20 descriptors. For every object you observe, list ten synonyms and twenty adjectives. This is a great way to increase your vocabulary and remember words you may have forgotten.

Don't Be Afraid to Be

Simplicity and friendliness better reveal the beauty of a person. Don’t be afraid to be "misunderstood" or "strange." It's better to be unique than not to be.

I hope these fun games will spark not only wit and creativity in you but also add a spark of interest to work and life in general! Enjoy what you have and always move forward, even when you’re stuck. Develop creativity and step away from templates from time to time.

Good vibes and positive thoughts to you!
