Creative and Unique Visualizations

There is a certain "je ne sais quois" about beautiful, creative, unique, elegant things. It's very hard to define what makes something really special, but we all know it when we see it. And numerous studies have proven that aesthetics matter in visualization. When a visualization is pretty, people are more likely to spend time with it, learn how to decode it, and accurately remember the data displayed.

So learning how to make creative and unique visualizations is worth your time! While you can spend most of your efforts creating standard charts and dashboards in Excel, Tableau, Power BI or whatever other tools you're using, a little investment in beauty will go a long way. In this lesson, I teach some simple techniques to improve your ability to think a bit outside the box.
