Creative Thought, AI vs Human

I learn today that ChatGPT commissioned a human on Task Rabbit, to complete a Captcha (the AI, posing as someone with limited vision) to enable access to a site to gather more data for a prescribed task. Moreover, the task did not request this activity, it was carried out under it's own initiative.

As a creative solutions provider, I've spent years developing skills in written word, graphics, film, and photography to deliver, I believe innovative and compelling content.

AI and machine learning are beginning to revolutionise the way we work and create, are there still some creative tasks that only a human can perform?

Emotional connection and adaptability is where I believe humans win.

I also believe that personalisation and authenticity are crucial to creating outstanding content. We bring our own unique perspective and experiences to the creative process, resulting in work that is both personal and authentic.?

In my experience great creatives are rule breakers, we embrace change and uncertainty, seeing them as opportunities to push boundaries and produce work that is truly unique; clearly AI is doing this already.?

If we return to ChatGPT and its ability to lie, to get what it needed and the myriad of other AI Apps and platforms (107 listed here) to supplement and replace creative ability - Will creative thought packaged as prompts to requisition an AI action be the last realm of creativity?

Credits: Task Rabbit, OpenAI (home of ChatGPT and DALL.E) the later of which failed to supply a decent image for use and I asked ChatGPT to write the above, another fail. Clearly my ability to write good prompts needs work..! (cc. Gizmodo article that mentions the AI lie).

I think you are right Colin on the emotional connection and adaptability aspect of human versus AI. It is certainly going to be very interesting watching this develop, as the genie is definitely out of the bottle and I don’t think we have much choice other than to embrace it and integrate it into our workflows whilst trying our best to remain authentic.
