From significant Creative Tech investments to the launch of a groundbreaking museum platform, this week’s news is packed with innovation and insights. Let’s dive in!
The 3rd week of September has showcased the potential of the Fall season in both investment and information, with notable growth observed in both areas over the past 7 days.
Investments of the Week
Mother Games, a NYC-based GameFi startup, secured $5 million in Pre-Seed funding, led by Lerer Hippeau, ShineCapital, and BoxGroup, all New York-based investors. Is Pre-Seed funding in Creative Tech reaching new heights? Absolutely — but only when combined with robust product development and a strong community of early adopters.
MORROR ART, a Chinese startup integrating display technology into speaker devices, raised $14 million in its Series B round, backed by 01vc and Haikong TianchengFund.
An identical sum of $14 million was also raised by Tokyo-based GAZAI, a company innovating in image generation solutions, anime, and cartoon design. The Seed round was supported solely by Asian investors, including ShinyChemical Industrial and PKSHA Capital.
What links these three successful investment cases? The delivery of tangible products to customers now, rather than long-term promises.?
Reports of the Week

Startup of the Week
The Museum Data Service (MDS) — a digital platform aimed at consolidating 100 million object records from collections across the UK — was launched last week. This initiative, a collaboration between the art education charity Art UK, the Collections Trust, and the University of Leicester, is funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Its goal is to provide a single platform for museums to store and share their object records in a uniform format. Will this academic approach succeed where others, like the self-proclaimed 'Shazams for Art', have failed?
