From Christie's Ventures’ portfolio reveal to Fuelarts launching its first project as a venture studio, this week’s industry updates bring fresh insights into the Creative Tech landscape. Let’s dive in!
Venture Shift of the Week
Evolving into a venture studio is a natural scaling process for any fund. Constantly researching the market and its participants, we at Fuelarts observe which pain points remain unaddressed. Over time, we decided to take independent action since no one else has stepped in to fill these gaps.
Fuelarts is proud to announce the launch of AX, an innovative AI-powered accelerator designed to transform the startup landscape with intelligent, personalized mentorship and investor matching. AX will leverage artificial intelligence to provide tailored guidance, online mentorship, and smart investor matching, making acceleration resources more accessible and effective for startups worldwide. This marks Fuelarts' expansion into the venture studio space, where it will develop its own startup products from the ground up.
Earlier in 2024, Fuelarts published a series of articles titled 'How AI is Transforming Entrepreneurial Mentorship.' (Part 1and Part 2). These papers explored various platforms leveraging autonomous interfaces and AI, such as custom chatbots based on OpenAI's ChatGPT. The key finding was that, despite significant advancements in AI for specific startup needs, the market still lacks a unified AI-driven acceleration platform that supports the entire startup lifecycle, a comprehensive solution like AX.
We’re happy Maria Pokrovskaya, an experienced startup architect and mentor, with a considerable AI/ML experience, is joining AX as a co-founder! We welcome investors and early-stage startups to join our waitlist for Batch 1, following the link below:
Disclosure of the Week
Since its founding two years ago, Christie's Ventures has been best known for its flagship project, Christie's Art+Tech Summit, its investment in Layer Zero, and its Global Head, Devang Thakkar, the former Head of Product at Artsy. Until recently, the fund kept its investment portfolio under wraps, but it has now been revealed. You can explore the portfolio and its intriguing diversification.
New Term of the Week
One of Christie's Ventures' notable investments is LUXUS (New York), which identifies as a wealthtech startup. "Wealthtech" is a fresh term in the industry, with the potential to become the 14th segment of Creative Tech. What's important is not just the number of startups in this space, but the scale of investment driving them, which signals the emergence of a market. In this case, ATX Venture Partnersled a $5M seed round in LUXUS.
Podcast of the Week
After stepping down as Editor-in-Chief of Artnet News, Andrew Goldstein quickly returned to the cultural conversation with his own podcast channel Artwrld, where he interviews key players and trendsetters in the art world. The latest episode features Marc Glimcher, President and CEO of Pace Gallery, discussing modern technology, the launch of Pace Verso, and investments in Superblue.

1 个月Denis Belkevich great to see you guys moving into the venture studio space. I have run several (non-art) accelerators and strongly believe that effective early stage support for founders and ideas is the life-blood of the tech sector. We need more!!
