Creative Startup Founder Josh Scott joins hobbyDB Board of Directors

Josh Scott is joining the hobbyDB Board of Directors offering his unique experience to help our company grow. He is the Co-Founder and Board Member of Craftsy, a company that has built an online education and eCommerce community connecting passionate makers with creative professionals. Since co-founding the company in May 2010, Craftsy has grown from an idea to a vibrant global community with over ten million members.

“I love helping talented people pursue their passion, and this guides my own professional pursuits,” Josh said, “from helping people build businesses on eBay, to working with service professionals at HomeAdvisor, as well as my current work supporting ‘makers’ at Craftsy, interior designers at Havenly, clothing designers at Betabrand and elementary school kids at Roots.”

hobbyDB’s mission also draws on Josh’s past experience as a Category Manager at eBay. “I am enthusiastic about hobbyDB because at eBay I saw first hand the challenges collectors faced transacting in a marketplace which wasn’t grounded in a defined-item database” he said.
