The Creator Revolution: AI as the Great Equalizer
Remember when photo and video editing was reserved for the esteemed few? You needed to know the ins and outs of Premiere or Final Cut Pro. ??
But now my grandmother can use Insta, Fb, and a million other apps to tweak and send her favorite holiday pics and videos (she hasn't discovered TikTok yet, perhaps for the best). ????
When the iPhone and all the apps sprung up, a new world of content and creativity was unleashed. Folks who had AMAZING ideas could suddenly execute them. In short, everyone was able to become a filmmaker — very low barrier to entry.
Heck, the same can be said for when the internet was invented. Budding entrepreneurs could skip the physical stores and sell straight through eBay, Etsy, and Shopify. Btw, Etsy has created 7.3 million small business — connecting handmade and vintage goods with 95.1 million buyers.
? And that's my prediction for AI. ?
It will make everyone (and their grandmother) a designer, a programmer, a website builder. The list goes.
Think of ALL the people in the world with brilliant ideas ??, and until now, they couldn't bring them to life.
Those ideas are about to be UNLEASHED. New businesses will erupt, new charities and causes for good will proliferate, and we'll find new ways to connect.
And yes I'm an optimist — it won't be all roses. Social media has been very damaging to many.
But, just think of the creativity that can be unleashed when you even the playing field and everyone becomes a creator. ??
