Creative Revenue

Creative Revenue

Today's devotional is from Life Is A Goldmine: Can You Dig It?

"She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes" - Proverbs 31:24.

The Proverbs 31 woman was in business, making money from the creative work of her hands. She not only had a retail business, but also a wholesale business, making sashes for other merchants to purchase and sell. While her main priority was clothing her family, she also contributed to the financial health of her household by generating revenue while keeping her priorities in order.

Do you see the market value of your creativity? Are you looking past something you have been giving away or doing for free, thus missing the fact that it may be the source of financial blessing you have been seeking? What do you undervalue or take for granted that you do that others would enjoy purchasing? Artwork? Baked goods? Woodwork? Jewelry? Repair services? Graphic design? Does this reality only apply to women, or to men and women?

Lord, there's economic value and return in who You made me to be and what I can creatively. I've looked past that as a reality, and it has cost me—but no longer. Open my eyes to see the treasure I have in even my simplest creative expressions, and help me move beyond giving it away to putting a value on it and allowing you to bring partners and customers my way.
