Creative retail solutions that are fit for purpose and fit for the future.

By creating concepts that we know will work in the retail environment, our teams collaborate to exceed our customers’ aspirations, delivering permanent and semi-permanent solutions that make a commercial difference to brands, retailers, and their staff.

“Our core principle is to produce solutions that work effectively! At the same time we balance a multitude of other factors such as innovation, cost, materials, longevity, and flexibility to get the most efficient solutions aligned with our customers’ needs and expectations” said Jerry Frowde , Design Director, HL Design Centre, UK “We have a wealth of cross-functional experience within our creative, engineering, and prototyping teams, and when combined with our extensive in-house capabilities, covering so many key manufacturing processes, we provide optimised, practical, sustainable and cost-effective solutions to our end customers”.

Creative design is the keystone in creating bespoke solutions. Creative thinking leads to innovative solutions and unique designs to improve the shopping experience and help our client stand out from their competitors.

Our design engineering team have years of experience bringing creative concepts to reality. We strive for excellence in every aspect of our designs, balancing cost, functionality, manufacturability, and aesthetics. We aim to be at the forefront of technology and manufacturing innovation.?

In-house prototyping is an invaluable stage in developing any bespoke display, proving the viability of design intent, confirming ease of manufacture, preventing unforeseen issues, and most importantly providing a physical representation to validate our proposal with our customers’ expectations. By using identical production processes to production specification, our customers can be confident that our prototypes will mirror what will be produced. We also use prototypes for functional testing, risk assessment, weight loading, value engineering, and packaging design.

“We were using a new material made from recycled yogurt pots for a M&S Fill Your Own unit. The prototype build was important to ensure the display aligned with the design concepts and functioned perfectly. Otherwise, we would go back to engineering and make improvements to guarantee it did everything the customer hoped for!” Warren Gant , Prototype Manager.

Stephen Hadley , Senior Creative Designer, said: “One of the most effective ways of making a sustainable display is to prolong its life, either by using more durable material or increasing its flexibility to fit for planogram changes”.
