Creative Digital Art. Personalized Online Coaching
Cristina Zoica Dumitru
Consultant, Creativity Coach, Educator, Digital Artist
I’m an experienced digital art educator, who offers personalized art coaching to individuals and groups. My individual coaching programs aim to help individuals develop their artistic skills, build technical strengths, and cultivate a creative mindset.
Through concise theory, practical exercises, and reference analysis and tons of insights, I guide my students in finding their personal art style and authenticity. I also provide support in overcoming common challenges such as procrastination, self-confidence issues, and creative blocks.
My coaching process involves an initial consultation, goal setting, a personalized coaching plan, and regular live sessions via Zoom. Prior art experience is not necessary, and coaching is open to individuals of all ages, with parental consent required for those under 18.
If you’re struggling to find your purpose, focus on your passion, I will guide you. I emphasize effective communication and flexibility. My goal is to motivate, and guide you through your own creative journey.
Art Coaching Subjects
I began teaching in 2012. I have worked with hundreds of students and developed dozens of international courses under departments of Digital Visual Arts, Animation and Game Design.
My teaching expertise lies in visual storytelling, 2D and 3D mediums, for films and games, from beginner to advanced levels:
I have vast experience with academic management, teaching in international higher education, instruction in training courses, coordinating student projects and digital artwork creation for creative industries. I have worked internationally in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Moldova, the US, the UK, and Romania. Both remote and on location.
Art Coaching System
My art coaching is a personalized mentoring program or one-on-one training focused on individual needs. Sometimes, it can also be conducted with a small group. However, we always have one purpose, to achieve a harmony between goals and skills.
My art coaching helps individuals gain knowledge, build artistic skills, develop technical strengths, and, above all, cultivate the right attitude by approaching the process confidently, gradually, and creatively.
Imagine creating without any struggle, but instead with pure joy! The experience is designed to bring forth the resources, workflows, and awareness you need.
Over the years, I have developed my own system to help individuals find their personal art style and authenticity.
The coaching program incorporates various elements:
Art Coaching is also a Creative Life Coaching
As your coach I can also help you with different challenges or life situations that a life coach works with. The secret is that the more you grow as a person, the more you grow as an artist, and then, the more you create with high degrees of creativity and complexity. This is actually personal development!
Common challenges my students face are procrastination, lack of self-confidence, difficulty with focusing on the process, fear of public speaking, insecurity of sharing personal art-work or just lack of energy in a long-term process.
I can help you with:
Steps in Getting Started
There are four steps in getting started working together. My coaching process involves an initial consultation, goal setting, a personalized coaching plan, and regular live sessions via Zoom.
Step 1. Introduction Message
Send me a message and introduce yourself. Use the contact form on my website , and I’ll confirm your request within 48 hours. Mention your interests, your current skill level, and share any artwork you have (if you have any).
Step 2. Goal Setting
We will start with a free-of-charge session of 40-60 minutes which I call “Get to know Each Other”. We get to know each other to establish the goals based on your current skill level and needs. By the end of the session, you’ll have a very good understanding of the overall framework and costs.

Step 3. Personalized Coaching Plan
Based on our previous interaction, I’ll get back to you with a brief overview in a fixed number of sessions and checkpoints. If you find my coaching proposal inspiring, I’ll set up our online class and we establish the day/hour together.
Step 4. Regular Live Sessions?
We are just one click away from each other and all we need to get in-sync. Usually, we meet once a week, live via Zoom. During some periods, we may have two to three sessions a week, depending on the needs and availability. Each session is 60 minutes long and includes a mix of discussions, workflows, and lots of feedback.
Payment
The payment is a fixed fee per hour or per 60 minutes. My fee includes the live session, preparation based on your specific needs and the support between sessions. It also varies from a beginner to advanced level of complexity.
However, if we collaborate over a long period of time, then the payment can be streamlined at the end of each month. We’ll get to a common agreement once we get started.
Technical Infrastructure
You’ll need your own hardware and software. Any specific software will be introduced along the way, depending on the needs. However, you do not need to purchase membership for Google Drive and Zoom. I’m the one supporting the storage space and time conference.
This is what you’ll need:
Productivity tools that I usually use are:
FAQ: Can I cancel, or pause the coaching?
I emphasize effective communication and flexibility allowing breaks or cancellations with a prior notice. I don’t charge extra fees for a cancellation done in a timely manner.
However, if you don’t show up for a live session and there hasn’t been any prior notification I’ll charge 50% of a session as my waiting time. Also if pausing the coaching becomes a habit I prefer to stop our collaboration.
FAQ: Do I need an art portfolio prior to taking coaching sessions?
Prior art experience is not necessary. We start from where you are and you grow from there. But if you do have prior experience with visual arts then our coaching will be on a totally different level. Regardless, my coaching program will bring step-by-step guidelines that are easy to follow.
However, I’m selective with my clients since I’m interested in working with individuals which are committed to learn and grow.
FAQ: How long can I keep on training?
The coaching program is structured on a fixed number of sessions, with a clear goal. But it can become a long-term training since we work based on short-term goals which can progress in the level of difficulty.
Your purpose is to develop enough skills and understanding on how things are interconnected and to see the answers by yourself.
For example, after completing a program in fundamentals of drawing, you’ll then become interested in experimenting with character concepts; afterwards, an advanced level will be anatomy for artists or character animation.
FAQ: I’m under 18 yo, can I still be coached?
Our age is not a limitation for a constructive and creative collaboration. My coaching services are open to individuals of all ages. However there’s a need for parental consent, if you are under 18 years old.
I strongly believe that creativity has no age, no gender and no limits; it’s all about expressing the desire to learn and experiment. What we need is a good chemistry between us!
