Creative Company Culture in a Hybrid Work Environment
The new era of remote and hybrid work
Luckily for Mighty, we’ve been able to gather everyone rather frequently, including our LA-based team members, and our partners have expressed their intentions to continue quarterly company on-sites moving forward. Additionally, our membership to a network of Industrious locations allows Mighty employees in both SF and LA to regularly meet in-person.?
For Mighties in SF, casual employee outings occur even more regularly. This year alone, the team has met up both in-person and virtually for a spa getaway, Korean BBQ, happy hours, pumpkin painting, and even a Giants game. These in-person occasions allow for just enough facetime among co-workers to bolster meaningful relationships across teams that extend into our remote communications on platforms, such as Slack.
Maybe we’re biased, but we believe that our team has been exceptionally creative in our use of Slack to build on an already inclusive and tight-knit team. For example, we have Slack channels designed for discussion and updates beyond the scope of our work in PR, including some of my personal favorites, #SAT-words, #random, and #fur-friends which we use to share new vocabulary, non-work banter, and show off our home-office mascots.?
