Creating a Workspace that Promotes Success by Jeff's Common $en$e!
As licensed professionals, we will receive improved compensation from improved job performance. That defines us as entrepreneurs even if receiving a W-2.
As a loan officer, my team includes my processor, my assistant, my junior loan officers, & all the other staff at the firm we interact with. Is my team in the right place that encourages development & growth? I must look inward to see if I am contributing to the best environment for my team.
Do I create a productive environment for success? Whether in an office or remote, employees need a supportive culture to perform well. Do I provide training & use effective communication that makes it easier to be productive?
Do I invest in technology to provide the best tools to compete in the marketplace?
Have I chosen the best people to work alongside me? Are they hungry, like-minded people, willing to innovate to achieve our shared goals? Have I motivated those around me to feel aligned with the goals we are setting?
Have I defined each person’s responsibilities & do I hold them accountable for the results? Have I provided an environment where my team feels engaged and empowered? Do I inspire team members to reach their fullest potential?
It all begins at the top:
See yourself as the one responsible for innovation and success. Lead by example. Guide, teach, & support those around you. Encourage collaboration on projects and share the success. Support a work life balance that encourages personal growth as well.
