Leaders and managers making decisions for any organization must understand their biggest priority at the end of the day is creating a highly effective employee experience that employees love being a part of. Regardless of their position, employees must be able to thrive and be passionately engaged towards doing their part in moving the mission of their organization forward. If leaders and managers grasp this and do all they can to properly facilitate it, they will put their organization in a position to win.
This newsletter shares insights and guidance for leaders/managers to facilitate an employee experience employees will love to be a part of, as well as other concepts that pertain to the subject such as properly developing team members. After launching his second restaurant, founder of Shake Shack Danny Meyer "realized that he needed to be more deliberate in the culture and experience he was creating, because he couldn't litigate or mandate the right performance in every single instance or scenario. He had to have a culture help influence and direct people how to act." These drivers of employee engagement are intuitive yet fascinating. A few revolve around what the employee gets out of their work, a couple surround trusting their leaders, and one regards believing in the organization's future. Engagement is fueled by empowerment, trust, positivity, and optimism.

Thanks so much for including the Relationships at Work Podcast in this, Riley. Really appreciate that. To add to Dr. Patricia Anderson's great comment, transformation also must come with compassion of what's come before. Whether the expertise, effort, knowledge, leadership, success is coming into the "new world" or not (or was successful or not), change has to respect that previous work if they want those employees to now buy into the vision ahead. Change demands communication but also compassion and consideration (it's all about the Cs)
