Creating a Winning Culture

What drives success within organizations?
Why do some companies do better than others?
What if I told you it starts with company culture? Team comradery is what makes the difference between a good and bad company.
Through my personal experience in building start-ups and consulting with others it has become increasingly apparent in the beginning stages there must be a specific tone set. An energy and understanding of what will transpire within the following months and how each member is crucial to the success of the group.
There are a few ways I would like to share how to create dynamic culture for the workplace.
- Understanding your Co- Workers
Our overall objective is to conquer the task at hand and that takes everyone involved to pull it off. Becoming self serving will be the quickest ways to diminish a positive team culture. Understanding the various personality types and how to best communicate will enhance your experience working with others. There are various test available out one being the Myers Briggs Test and Strength Finders by Gallup.
2. Patrolling your own Attitude
Attitude is everything as we know. There are perspectives you can have whether the glass is half empty or half full. Whether the organization will be successful with their sales process or not. Your belief and attitude will dictate your success.
We all have a personal responsibility and taking accountability for our actions, thoughts and attitudes will enhance the company culture. I would challenge you to examine yours today.
3. Expressing your Expectations
A major area of need is expressing your expectations right away with your team. This helps to create a sense of baseline where you can revert back to in conversation. Having unmet expectations can create relational tension among the team and if not addressed properly will destroy cohesion.
Understanding the end goal can be very helpful to keep people on task and establishing some mutually understood ground rules can be beneficial to your cohesion.
Sincerely,
