One year ago, while doing our regular #compliance practice, we came across an assignment where one of our clients asked for our help to assist in reclaiming her lost investments. Since the investments were in shares and remained unclaimed for a specific period, they were transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA).??

That was our first experience with the Authority. We possessed academic knowledge but lacked practical experience in reclaiming the securities. On this note, we decided to take our #service offerings one step further by embarking on a new #venture. That was to help people get back their rightful investments! We explored the area, gained knowledge about the subject, and started identifying the people who are deprived of age-old investments and have lost their hard-earned money. In reaching out to the rightful #investor, we came across many challenges. It is mandatory for the companies to publish the list of unclaimed #shareholders on their respective websites. Though these people's names and addresses are publicly available, it was difficult to find them, as they may have shifted to another place. Our ‘Wealth Partners’ took these challenges on their shoulders and began the search for the rightful investors. During this process, they gained love and respect on one hand and faced criticism and doubts on the other. But they never stopped! They keep following up with investors from distinct locations and encourage them to #reclaim their hard-earned money. Our ‘Wealth Partners’ are actively taking these challenges as we write this blog.?

I recall one investor who did not come to our office initially because he did not have faith in us. And that reaction was obvious! No offence, no complaints... We understand that it is hard to believe in today's world if someone comes to your doorsteps saying we are here to give back lost investments. Still, we worked on that case & with our actions, we earned his trust & this is the first win of NineteenTwo Consulting LLP. Our challenges are making us stronger.?
