Creating unique pieces of art
Sylvie Verwaayen
Multidisciplinary Artist at SylverDesign Fine Art @sylverdesignart
The artist
Sylvie Verwaayen wears many hats and that's the way she likes it. She is a fine artist with experience in acrylic realism and abstract works. She has also worked as well with fluid poured art. Some of her canvasses show the range of the smoothness of a canvas's surface to having thick acrylic mediums applied to them. She loves the human form and has done portraiture in the past. As an illustrator, she can draw anything and loves many types of styles including graphite and coloured pencil. She is also a digital designer, creating website, logos and print layouts. Sylvie taught Graphic Design at Fanshawe College for 10 years and brings her 5 years of post secondary art and design training to each project.
Creating unique art
Creating a piece of art to fit into a specific design is one of Sylvie's joys. She loves the challenge to fit her knowledge of design, colour and texture to fit a space. For this she taps into her graphic design background where designing for a client and collaborating on a design is something that she is experienced at. Listening to the needs of her client is one of her strengths and helps her to make a clients vision come alive.
