Creating A Space where People Want to Live

Creating A Space where People Want to Live

At DignityMoves, our ultimate goal is to bring individuals off of the streets and into private and dignified housing where they can receive the help they need with as few barriers as possible. In traditional shelter settings residents are often separated by sex, are unable to stay with their partners, and must leave their pets on the streets.?

We never want someone experiencing homelessness to have to choose between shelter and their loved ones or pets, which is why we build our units and communities to support the unique situation of each resident. Our communities have dog runs and often access to dog food and toys. We offer larger beds, additional supplies, and individualized care to couples and account for double occupancy rooms in our planning and architecture.

To end the homelessness crisis we need to build spaces where people WANT to live. Providing support for couples and residents with pets are two of the most important ways DignityMoves and our services partners protect our residents’ humanity and help them rebuild their lives.

DignityMoves’ model does not just help individuals, but entire communities, by building villages where residents feel respected, dignified, and safe. We need your support to reach more communities.

We are entering the home stretch to complete our DignityMoves' Big Dreams Fundraising Drive. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and if you have not yet donated, there is still time.? Our goal is to raise $500,000 by June 30. Please donate today to help us build more than 200 rooms this year for individuals, couples, and pets experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

?Your support can truly transform lives. Together, we can provide a lifeline to those experiencing unsheltered homelessness and offer them the hope, security, and dignity they deserve. Join the movement today and help us create a world where no one has to choose between shelter and their loved ones.

With deep gratitude,

The DignityMoves Team
