Creating Space For Change: May 2024 Edition

The Journey Is Just As Important As The Change Itself

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Leaders through organizational and personal change.

As an organizational leader, change often starts with you. A business or personal objective needs to be realized, and the only way to get there is to introduce some type of change.

When you are part of the core team defining the change, you are also choosing to embark on a change journey that every employee and customer impacted by the change will experience.

Those impacted by the change will have an opinion and a reaction to the change. Some will feel it is positive and much needed, others will wonder why anything needs to change, and others will feel that everything is fine the way it is now.?

As a leader, you need to have a people change management strategy to move all your employees through the change journey.

It’s a strategy that needs to be people-centric and experience-driven. How an employee experiences change impacts how they react and adopt change. At the end of the day, when you ask an employee to change, you are asking them to change what they do, how they interact with others, their tool/applications and who they work with. This means that you are asking each employee to change their habits, behaviors, beliefs, and ways of working. Nothing is more personal than that.?

The journey to get there matters. The journey creates a lasting experience and a feeling that will be remembered long after the change is adopted.

My secret sauce is helping organizations create the change journey strategy that supports successful change management implementation. Book a call with me today to learn more about my process.?
