CREATING SOCIETY 5.0 TOGETHER

The way we live together, organise our lives, make decisions on how we do things and the way we work is influenced by the technological developments in our society. Big tech companies steer more and more the way we do things in our personal lives, in our organisations and even on a societal level. Now we are moving into a digital society, we do not want to allow Big Tech, to shape society to their needs and based on their values.

The creative sector is stepping up and is being recognised for the competencies and capacity it brings in the societal transitions we are currently in.

By working with tools, methods, processes and strategies, creatives are designing products, experiences, services, systems and even the transitions with new and different approaches, leading to a more sustainable and inclusive society!

At the Society 5.0 Festival we are breaking with the idea of "move fast and break things", but use care, creativity and connections in our approach. We give the stage to activists, educators, designers, hackers and artists that are building towards that future society. They will show their work, allowing visitors to interact with it or immerse in it. Together we will explore how they made it, how we can apply it in different contexts or sectors.

In two days we offer over 50 sessions. Curated by lecturers and researchers of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Hogeschool Inholland
