“Cultivating serendipity is about strategizing as much as we can and building our plans and maps, but at the same time, let’s build a muscle that allows us to see the unexpected – Not as a threat, not as something that just happens to us, but as something we can do something about.”

How to Scale Your Business
- Strategize and Channel: Strategy often focuses primarily on where you are going, how you are going to get there, and mapping out a plan, but Christian recommends leaving room for the unexpected to occur. Channeling an idea and allowing your experience to guide the way shapes a serendipitous method of solving problems, even under tough conditions.
- Seek Connectivity: The ability to foster ideas and connect to relationships with others can lead to transformative ideas. Intersecting strategy and integrating profit and purpose to scale is the key. It helps in curating a meaningful and purposeful life guided by strategic ideations, which can lead to successful strategic business decisions.
- Challenge Boundaries: The best ideas usually come from pushing boundaries, collaborating with different people, and innovating. Build a community that transpires ideas by manifesting thoughts into actions. Opening your mind can generate luck for yourself and your business – often by helping you notice the lucky situations that are already happening around you.
- Accelerate Positive Coincidence: Accelerating serendipity can come out of welcoming and embracing the unexpected. Of course, strategizing is good, but flexibility offers excitement by accepting the unexpected and cultivating serendipity. By changing your perspective, you can begin to extract additional lucky opportunities. Believe in the power of hope and intuition and you will increase your chances of success.
- Embrace the Unexpected: A flexible operating plan covers contingencies and random events that might occur. It helps us operate effectively. However, serendipity sometimes comes out of necessity. As a leader, at times you will and should navigate based on your gut feeling. By seeing and acknowledge the dots, including unexpected events that occur, you can connect them and form new connections. Adjusting the plan will become part of the plan.
