Today we see a new release of some interesting new features to speed up consuming of view data inside Model Coordination.
The new feature for Model Coordination (BIM360 Coordinate) allows user to save subsets of views that they want to access on a regular basis.
Let’s think about a Revit model, with multiple views. i.e. Level 1 Steel work, Level 1 Architecture, Level 1 Plumbing etc..... for a 10 story building you might have quite a few views. (you could obviously break this down into many less views)
Well with the release of this latest feature you can now save away your own sets of views (inside Model Coordination) that you want to access on a regular basis. This will then allow you to not have to select the views every time you want to access them.
First thing you will see is the menu ribbon has a new menu item. Views.
The Views Item is where your saved views will be found.
To create a view, you simply load a series of views (Tick the boxes next to the view you want to load)
Press the VIEW button
Press the Save View Button.
You then have to edit the settings in the dialog box.
1. Title - The Name of the view.
2. Privacy - If the view is to be seen by you only (Private) or public (everyone who has access to these views)
3. Description - A brief description
Then if you browse back to your Views Tab.
By clicking on the view you then can open all the models that we previously loaded, all with one quick click.
The other interesting part is that once the view is loaded you can add/remove more views to your view and update your saved view at any time.
Meaning if you can save and manage all your views very easily.
Another great feature in a line of great updates in the past. Enjoy.

1 年Why is the orientation of the view not saved? It seems to revert back to the plan/top view. I have even tried updating the view with the perspective I need but it always goes back to top view.

5 年Was checking this and found that the section tool does not work when saving the view. Is that correct?
