Creating realistic looking water with X-Particles
"Life, work - it's all very organic and fluid, a laboratory. I always tell people: whatever your thing is, you just have to be in it. Jump in; you'll figure it out.” Mark Bradford
When version 4 of X-PARTICLES came out by Insydim LTD I knew I had to do something with this powerful plugin. So I took Mark’s advice and jumped in. What better way to explore creating stunning large and small scale fluid simulations with realistic physics than x-particles?
I originally had this vision of close-ups and water which would in someway reveal the new DropDrop logo. I reached out to Phil Hoeschen a motion graphics designer from Los Angeles CA to help bring my vision to life. After some very rough animations and camera moves we started plugging away at the water simulations.

After a round of about 8 revisions, we decided to surrender to the project. Inside Cinema 4D we used the revolutionary renderer Octane to make this as lifelike as possible then I spent about day composing sound and music for the piece after Phil sent me the After Effects Project with the image sequences.
From water, snow, fire, foam, spray and explosions it seems as if the possibilities with this plugin are limitless. Until the next project...
